Description
The first of my humanoid animal mutant characters, I present William "Buddy" Freeman, the Bison.

Thousands of years ago, before the white man ever suspected the existence of the North American plains, a herd of bison were snatched up by a demonic sorceror for the purposes of creating a caste of gladiators to entertain his devilish masters.

He was the only survivor, known only as the Bison, and he was cursed to immortality so that he could continue to battle, suffer and kill in the bloodsport stadiums of that particular hell. His sole chance came near the end of the 20th Century, when an invasion force was poised to attack the Earth and the city of Blackwater. The Bison was picked as part of the scout force, but he was not bloodthirsty enough to wish to engage in any of this war.

He escaped the force, and sought out those who might resist, meeting a young man called Powerboy (later to grow up and become Lumion). Together they assembled an army of superhumans to fend off the invasion.

There have been attempts to bring him back to trial, for betraying Hell, but the last time showed just how costly that would be as Buddy and his friends went on a rampage that scared the ever-lovin' hell out of anyone even peripherally interested in punishing him.

His legal name is William Freeman, as appointed by the courts, but he still prefers the name first given to him by Lumion those many years back - "Buddy."

The new Bison is made from a "Toob" Bison head on a Thing Body. Shirt made from blue duct tape.
