Description
So here's the lovely Bastila from KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic). 'Why is this one so much better than my other drawings?' you may ask... Well, I used a reference properly!!!
'How so?' you may be wondering... Well, I layed it out beside me and measured lengths, proportions, heights, distances, etc and multiplied them by three (to accommodate for my drawing being 3 times as large), and then drew away! I must say, after drawing with reference i'm scared to go back to freehand!!!Critique is welcome!
Pencils: 4H 2H 2B 4B 6B (8B barely), minor digital touchups to remove creases and scratches
EDIT: This is one of my most popular deviations. Can anyone tell me why that is? Is there some special search you used to find this old piece of crap?

Okay when I clicked on it, the picture wouldn't show up; but I'm sure it's great. It looks great from the smaller picture. I love that game. You should tell prople it's Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. It might be more fumilier. I owned the game for a year before I knew the referance.

Actually, in life drawing, when you measure proportions for the models you use your thumb and pencil.
like, you outstretch your arm and stick the eraser end of your pencil to line up with the top of the head, and then use your thumb to measure the bottom of the head.
Then you can use that to measure!
that way you don't have to do crazy maths to set everything up.
you can also set up a graph but that can get messy and complicated.
But this is nice! very cool shading and I love the bottom half with the light saber!

I need more pencils >_< that's partly the reason why i didn't bother with my Vincent pic lol. only had 4 to work with XD (Although, I should've spent more time on it and made it look like a proper pic ^^)

Oh yeah - that is a very nice looking Bas there. I see you made some changes on her robe. Looks cool! Maybe she has a bit of Asian look but very nice work!

uuurgh.. yeah... the hair... The problem is that the head is only like an inch tall and i can't yet do nice textures on such small spaces... I wish i could do hair like you
