#29: Blue Bubble/Bubbles
Next up it's none other than the peculiarly named Bubbles, this time in the blue variety. Why is a flying skull encased in unholy flames called something as non-threatening as "bubble" while other canonical enemies that are nothing more than literal bubbles named "Shabom"? Who knows! The Legend of Zelda has a long standing history of weird naming conventions; mummies are "Gibdos", skeletons are "Stalfos", bats are "Keese" so I guess a flaming death skull being named "Bubble" was just the natural progression at that point!
Unlike my previous entries I sort of made my own style for the Bubble, combining themes I liked from both the Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker versions as they were things I liked and disliked about both. I figure sense Zelda has been given a new style SO many times, especially when it comes to it's monsters I'm allowed some liability to do such a thing!
Now, as fans of the series know, there are several different colors of Bubbles. Red Bubbles, Blue Bubbles, Green Bubbles, even White Bubbles! Why did I choose the blue one? 1. I felt the look was more iconic, they're the more frequently seen. 2. There are few things more badass in the world then both blue fire and red lightning. I dare you to combat that! and 3. Most of all. That DAMN cursed blue flames!
The Blue Bubbles placed above Chu Chus and Floormasters for that reason alone! Yes, they are a bit more legitimate threats then the other two and will openly attack you more than a Floormaster which DID go into my decision making, but really- It's all the cursed flames! These inaccurately named monsters are annoying as is, but have one suddenly slam into you without warning and leave you incapacitated for a FAR longer amount of time than necessary? These guys earned a place on this list! But due to how disgustingly easy it is to defeat them and their stupid choice in names, I kept them considerably low.
