I recently went for the first time to Venezia, and loved it. I see photographs now and relatively know what I'm seeing, the beauty that surrounds them, and I'm happy to be a part of it in some small way.

Very beautiful, this shot.

Thank you very much. Venice is one of the places that a person should see in his life!

It is, I absolutely agree. Are you Italian, then? (I hope you don't mind my prying. I'm currently in Italy and loving it here; learning the language is coming slowly, but I'm learning nonetheless.)

I arrived in September, and mostly northern Italy which is where my fiancée is from: Montereale, to be specific. We visited the seaside town Bibione, have seen Milano, other northern areas like Pordenone and Caorle--oh, and a friend of hers is from Cordenons! Such a beautiful city, that one.

We hope to soon see Verona which is where another friend of hers lives, to visit her and see everywhere nearby. One of the cities I cannot wait to see the most is Torino. Everything I've read about it just seems so perfect, and plus the Egyptian museum! One of the largest in the world, so I kind of seriously have to.

Any suggestions? where are you from, here?

I absolutely suggest you Turin, I live near it and it's really beautiful! Unluckily it's not very known out of Italy, but it's plenty of nice places, museums and so on... If you'll come here, you should also visit the Langhe, very famous for the wonderful landscapes and, of course, wine and food!

Oh, another one who's more fortunate than I am? We will, I promise. Her being Italian, she's never been to there and would really like to see it. So it's a double incentive for us.

And the Langhe, thank you for the suggestion. I didn't know about it, I'll absolutely do that. (: Thank you. Anything else, that you can think of? I don't mean to pick your brain but yeah, sorry if I ask too much.

Really, it's not a problem, I'm happy helping you! Well... it's beautiful all the zone of the Alps, but maybe it's a little more complicated to go there... The valleys I know (still in Piedmont) have very nice villages... Oh, sure, the lakes are wonderful: Lago di Garda, Lago Maggiore... do you know them? They're a must for tourists, especially german ones

And if you'll visit Turin, go to Eataly: it's a fantastic place to know italian cuisine!

I've heard of Lago di Garda, but not Maggiore. They both sound wonderful, and I'd love to visit them as well. I may not be German, but I imagine even American tourists--myself, especially--would love to see them. Any lake here has been beautiful so I'd absolutely love to.

And Eataly, got it! Another one to jot down, thank you. (:

Ah ah, I don't know why, but I thought you're from Germany!

If I'll remember something other, I'll write it!

Enjoy your italian holiday

Haha, it's funny that you say that. We were in Verona over the weekend and went with friends to Bardolino where we ate at this restaurant (San Martino, I think it was called?) which is very lovely food; and the waiter had mistaken me for being German as he would ask me something in German and we had told him I was American. XD I only wish I were German, I've always enjoyed that language as well...

I think the mistake is because the majority of tourists in Italy are germans
