Description This is a little bit matte painting, a little bit color key, a little bit concept art. This could very well be the very first shot in the Robo-san animation. Just wanted to plan out the colors, lighting and all that in the full scale/detail that will be seen in the final. Hopefully the final shot ends up looking pretty close to this.

This is wicked bro, the little fish ship is pretty adorable and I like the subdued energy trail. Nice and subtle, the color choices are really 'happy' too, like a Miyazaki cartoon.

Exactly what we want! I have no problem referencing Miyazaki colors. I'm really in love with the work of Kazuo Oga, the man behind a lot of the background paintings for My Neighbor Totoro.

I think the composition and path of action are very well done Eric. Who are you working on this project with?

This looks great! The atmosphere and perspective work very well. Kinda nitpicky, but I think the energy trails should maybe be a bit brighter.

I'm not sure quite how it's going to look in the final animation, I don't even know if the energy trails will really linger for that long or not. It might be best if they die off quicker. Thanks for that critique!
