The sun set slowly, peacefully. He thought of the days when he was young. The sweet smelling air, Winry, and just Resembool its self!
Ed always wished he hadn't gone back. He regretted it horribley!(ANack to Germany with Al)
The train was arriving to Ed and Al's stop.
Once he got off the metal train, he turned to look it take off again into the sunlight.
Ed and Al were walking back home with there breif cases. It was the middle of Autumn so all the leaves covered the grounds silently; rolling by as the cool wind blew.
Ed's shoes hit the pathway in a gloomy way.
"Is there anything wrong brother?" Alphonse stopped to question him."
Ed shook his head solemnly and kept walking.
He longed for The sweet smelling air, Winry, and just Resembool its self.
He kept repeating the same wishes in his head sadly knowing they wouldn't come true.
He kept walking in sadness when Ed stop suddenly and let the wind blow his long blonde hair around.
He looked up to the clouds in the evening sky...a tear...fell from his eye and landed on a autumn leaf on the ground.
Al looked at him worried and tilted his head to look at him.
Ed had a very depressed look on his face as if to say what have I done. Soon Ed had lots of salt tears running down his cheeks.
He sniffled like a cold puppy and fell to his knees.
He put his head in his hands a sulked silently but rapidly.
Al bent down on his knees and put his hand on Ed's shoulder. "I'm sorry..." Al said quietly.
Ed looked up in surprise with a sopping wet face.
"I'm sorry...this is all my fault...it all began with you trying to put me in armour right?" Al started to get teary.
Still Silence except for the breeze blowing loudly.
"No Al...I should suffer the burden. I had the idea to bring Mum back, I'll just have to live with it and the decsion to close the gate and Germany and leave Winry..." Ed clentched his fists as droplets of tears covered them.
Ed cryed outloud this time. Moaning.
"IT WAS MY IDEA TO BECOME A STATE ALCHEMIST! EVERYTHING WAS MY FOOLISH MISTAKE!" Ed yelled in agony.
Al looked down at the path and noticed it started to get little dark splotches falling on it. Rain.
It started to pour down on them.
Pouring like tears that would never stop.
Sadness and Anger.
They sat there for around 5 minutes still in silence.
Soon the rain cleared and formed a small rainbow. The colours of happiness made Al smile softly.
When Ed looked up he saw a single white cloud next to the rainbow.
*flash close flash close flash close* The light...his mother used to flash when she wanted them come home.
Ed cryed with a slight more happiness.
He smiled.
Ed stood up and held his hand out to Al.
Al took his hand and pulled himself to his feet.
"Lets go home" Ed said soflty with a slight smile.
Al nodded quietly.
They started walking back along the road into the sunset, hand in hand...still wishing for their early days to return.
