Pony ears are just naturally pointy like that. I just have an inconsistency about the very tip of the ear; the tip is a small curve, but it's not that large of a curve that it would be completely rounded. Exceptions come from ponies that specifically have completely pointed ears, probably seen quite a bit with many OCs.
