Do you even remember how the episode ended? The whole Wonderbolts crew did admit it was just a bit of newbie hazing, and that all of them had been given the same 'treatment' when they first joined. They then remarked that Dash did help save the world several times. In the end, they do respect her, but like any group of friends, they're not afraid to poke fun at each other.
It just sort of reaches a different level of meaning when that group of friends is what is supposed to be an elite air squadron.
