From the thumbnail, I thought this was a painting, so I had to look closer. Something about the simple composition, vivid colors in her coat, depth of field and the shadows. Very nice photo.

In my experience, owning two GSDs, I've noticed more solid and distinct patterns on the face
Her's appears broken up and "spattered," which I've seen on a mutt who otherwise looked like any other GSD
Hence the question... *sigh*
