Taz Cat and Whisper Kitty are based off of the two cats I grew up with, named Taz and Whisper.

Taz Cat and Whisper Kitty were made by Remedial Katze to serve both as mascots for the company as well as to act as additional therapists. After growing increasingly uncomfortable with some of the company practices, the two left and now work for the Maverick Hunters.
They serve in the 3rd Medical Dispatch, and work primarily as therapists. They have some field medicine experience, but do far better helping Hunters work through various issues than they do with healing in a pinch.
Both Taz Cat and Whisper Kitty have the ability to shift between a bipedal and quadrupedal form. This is to help with patient comfort, as some may feel more comfortable speaking with an "animal" rather than a humanoid. Their size does not change much between these forms, so despite looking like housecats they are fairly large.

Taz Cat is very kindly and motherly. Her Special Weapon, Motherly Intuition, allows her to identify weaknesses of enemies. Usually she uses it to help figure out how to help her patients, but in a fight it can come in handy.

Whisper Kitty is more aggressive. Despite being able to work as a therapist, she is the more well equipped of the two to do field medicine. Her Special Weapon, Hissy Fit, allows her to deal large bursts of damage to get patients out of the fray.

When together, Taz Cat and Whisper Kitty can use a paired attack, known as Purrfect Pair. This increases the healing ability of Reploids with Auto-Repair, and allows those without it to gain a temporary version of it. This is mostly used for stabilizing patients in the field.
