Hoo boy... and here's the page I've had to keep incredibly silent about. The big bombshell. The complete game-changer. And because it's so pivotal... It's got a ton of dialogue... Sorry for the info dump, but for this kind of plot point, it needed to happen.

So many things to talk about on this page... where to start...

Well, first of all, Stones true allegiance will to you readers have come completely out of nowhere, and while that's probably true (I had to keep it secret without giving the game away) there are a couple of really subtle hints to it in this issue.

First of all, a page that I don't think I quite pulled off, Page 9 of this issue, where Stone clears the control room before smiling to himself... It looked like that smile was because he'd had some kind of evil idea, but really, he was smiling because he knew that Alpha and his friends had got away, as was his plan. (In case I haven't made it clear, he was the one who sent Alpha the message in the letter, along with granting him access to the Black Forge systems).

The second subtle hint, which has shown up in just about every page this issue with the Shadow Forge control room, was a message on the computer screens. Somewhere in the control room, usually obscured by someone standing in front of it, was a message saying "Jamming Field Active". If you recall, neither the Shadow Forge nor the Egg Destroyers were able to keep locate the fugitive Alpha and co. Now you know why... Stone had activated a Jamming field, preventing scanners to locate where the fugitives had gone. Why didn't the other Shadow Forge members notice? Uhhhhhhhh... Rats, I knew I'd overlooked something... Too distracted to notice maybe?

Anyhow, now we know what really happened at the end of the last issue. Stone injected Phillip with a syringe. This syringe contains a toxin designed to destroy Stones "Master". Stones Master has been leeching energy from his victims, so when he leeched off Phillip, he absorbed the toxin from him. Unfortunately, It's not working the way Stone had hoped... Thats why we are starting to see cases of madness on board the Egg Destroyers... and it's only going to get worse.
