Icedivers are a species of Axosnakes that can actually survive in sub zero conditions, Their over all appereance is more squat and less snake like. Their skin is thicker, and their gills are specifically developed to breath in freezing water.

another interesting feature is their little nose horn. They seem to use it for both turn over soil in search for food, but also to peck a hole into thin layers of ice. They can survive for a short amount of time on land ,and they seem to use this tactic to escape predadors who cant follow them on land.

another sub species actually lives in deep, icy caves, and has bioluminous spots and gills to lure in small prey items and find others of their kind.
