Description Concept: Merging the natural and the manufactured; man-made alterations seeking to improve on an already stable form (in this case, a bird)...

I'm beginning to notice a theme in my works. I really like things that are ambiguous, in-between, defy categorization, or form a paradox at the intersection of two opposing ideas. Manufactured vs. natural, living vs. dead, organic and free-flowing vs. geometric and structured...I like to explore all of these ideas in my art. I like seeing how two of the above things can come together to make something strange or new, something that has elements of both things and yet is fully neither of them. Things like this are not possible in real life, which is why they're fun to explore in art.

Anyway, this will be available to buy as a t-shirt design soon! I've already done some test prints and it looks pretty sweet. I'll post an update when it becomes available C:

If you would like to get this or a modified version of it as a real-life tattoo, all I require is that you give credit to me for the design and show me a photo of how it turned out! No need to ask for explicit permission to get it as a tat. c:

This is beautiful! I love how the natural part is straight black and the alterations are in fiery colours, like the fires of a forge
The design itself is just wonderful as well

I think the price we're looking at right now is around $15-20, but I'm not positive. That's pretty standard shirt cost, but I'll get back to you when I know more.
