This is a tribute to Jason David Frank, who sadly passed away yesterday, and Thuy Trang, best known as Tommy Oliver and Trini Kwan, the original Green and Yellow Rangers from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Power Rangers was such a significant part of my childhood growing up, and there was no character cooler in the eyes of a four year old than Tommy Oliver. Power Rangers was already a game changer, and when Tommy was introduced, he cemented the series as an all time classic. Showing up first as the villain, an evil Power Ranger, who was an absolute menace to the whole team. His Dragonzord was basically it's own megazord, his fit with the gold armor was immaculate, he got with Kimberly, who was everybody's first crush, like you couldn't touch this man, the physical personification of dope, and for him to leave the series, only to come back as the White Ranger, doing the impossible in becoming even cooler that he was before, like how bro, how? And it was Jason David Frank who brought that character to life, who made him larger than life. I can't describe how sad it is to lose him, especially after losing Kevin Conroy, Batman, ten days prior. It seems like the good people, the ones who bring us joy and make us believe, are the ones who leave us when we're not ready for them to go

I hope JDF is a peace now, he was and will forever be one of my childhood heroes.
