The perfectly normal day of people going about their daily lives was interrupted by rumbling of the ground and violent shaking of the research center in the centrum. The building trembled like crazy, its walls cracking and bulging as if it was trying to contain something way too big for its interior.
What the hell was going on in there, many thought. The Research Center was an enigma among the locals. No outsider was ever allowed inside, so no one knew for sure what was going on (tho some people certainly claimed they did), so the place had developed wild rumors of all kinds of otherworldly and even illegal experimentation taking place within its halls. And it seemed no one knew anyone who worked there either, only adding to its mystery. Yet it seems now, the world was about to find out.

And find out they did, as the concrete walls could hold no longer under pressure, and with a mighty crash, the entire building exploded open as two massive figures burst out of its confines. The dark, sleek beings of massive size sat among the rubble, their bodies constantly expanding at a steady rate, seemed to clearly be in adoration to what was happening. Their expressions showed almost childlike excitement to the growth process as their bodies kept on growing and pushing aside the rubble. The people screamed and fled from the gigantic creatures, and in a manner of minutes, the peaceful afternoon had turned into a panic-filled chaos, as people succumbed to their most basic instincts in fear.

Amongst all the chaos, Dusk stood up from the rubble of the former Research Center and watched in amazement as most of the buildings in the city were dwarfed by his gigantic form. He turns to Thorn Heart still kneeling among the ruins and admiring his growth.

"Well, that couldn't have gone better~" he said happily. "I was terribly worried, when they set up the experiment and heard one of them say that since we aren't humans, they don't need to worry about any 'human-rights bullshit'".

"You can say that again" Thorn replied as he also stood up to his massive height. "And they kept shouting the experiment was a failure and tried to shut things down! I suppose they didn't want us to grow this much. But I'm not complaining~"

"And we are still growing? Wonder how big we'll eventually get?" Dusk wondered as he watched the tallest skyscrapers fall below him.

"I don't know and I don't really care," Thorn Heart said happily. "This feels so good~ But what now?"

"What now?" Dusk repeated with a devious smile while taking Thorn Heart's head to his. "Now.... we have some fun!"
