What is the story of this scene supposed to be?

This was an exercise for a cover of the "Mickey Mouse Mystery Magazine".
The idea was Mickey is running from the evil Phantom Blot and trying to call for help.

I got a perfect backstory:
The house of mouse new years eve party was in full swing. Everyone was either dressed as a "gangsta", a "royal jackass", or just a suit and your GF had on a $700 dress from that boutique down the street from "the garage" pub and grill where you hung out with the boys and played pool, watched the game, and had a few beers. Mickey, the host, had just gone outside for a cigarette. He walked over the the phone booth across the street and put in 50 cents. He could see the brooklyn bridge clearly. He dialed his pal "Aces" and had a short conversation with him. He was just finishing when a large green vintage car rolled up to him and stopped. Next thing we hear are a few shots and we run outisde. The car is long gone, and mickey is dead on the sidewalk. We give statements, talk to the press, and get interviewed, case goes cold, end of story. Or IS IT????
