I always felt Mewtwo was a very lonely Pokemon - never born, never having a purpose in life. But in the end, it IS still alive, and all life has meaning.
So, Mewtwo, in my headcanon, is always on a journey to enjoy life as best it can, even finding solace in simple things such as the moon.
