That's the truth! A Jazz Jackrabbit reboot would be a day 1 purchase. I've still got my JJ1 and JJ2 discs .

Yup! My first introduction came by virtue of a JJ1 shareware-demo in an old "200 epic games" CD-collection.
I got JJ2 one Christmas, and it still works under Win7!
OK, the game-idle demo runs a little weird (Jazz runs around, doing random stuff, rather than demonstrating gameplay) - but the game itself runs perfect, even in Windowed mode.
JJ1, I later found proper, as Abandonware free for download to run in my DOS-Box emulator. (No longer being in shops these days, it seems it's now free gain)

I hear there is some issues with JJ2 running on Windows 8. Some slow-downs or something like that.

Makes me glad I bought Windows 7 instead of going with Windows 8.

Hmmm... always a snag... let's hope my newer computer lasts out longer than Windows 8, then...
Also a good job I still have my old WinXP system too, for running older games on.
