Throughout their journey home, Cynaith’s hatred for Tylix stewed within her, a sore reminder of her failure to produce a Symbiote Queen. Looking at Eva, Cynaith reconsidered her criteria for a Queen: Eva might not be physically strong, but her social skills had carried her this far in life.

Reaching their apartment, Eva told her she would be going for a shower as they placed aside their grocery bags. Cynaith only listened halfheartedly, realizing that going down this path would mean the end of her “retirement”. There was a brief flash of sadness, but Cynaith pushed it down with her renewed sense of duty, fueled by an urge for revenge.

As Eva went into her room, Cynaith took off her own clothes, reverting partially back into her symbiote form. Mentally turning inward, she awakens one of the symbiote egg in her abdomen, which quickly unfurled into a larvae form. Grasping the newly hatched symbiote gently, she then entered Eva’s room.

Eva was blissfully unaware as she stripped herself down, grabbing a towel as she entered the shower room adjacent to her room. She heard Cynthia entering, but didn’t thought much about it, until her sister grabbed her from behind, and forced a slimy object down her throat.
