Description
The first main gents! It's been years since I've read the first arc
But I have a soft spot for these guys, even Tigerstar lol
Below I would like to say my opinions about these characters and my choices for their designs;
Firestar: I will always love Firestar, we watched him grow from as an unsure kittypet to the best warrior/leader the forest has ever known. He has his faults, like how fast he judged a kit because he looked like his psycho of a father. There's more but I'm sure all of you know lol. Even though he has his faults, he's a great first protagonist to start up the series! Now let's talk about his design, I wanted him to have a bright orange fur colour to really make him pop against all the other cats, to really make him look like his namesake. I've seen a lot of artists design him to look like an Abyssinian and I love that! Instead of him being slender, however, I imgine him a smaller chubby boy! To kinda match his daughter Squirrelflight, who is actually shorter than him xD His back side has more of that darker colour like the actual cat breed, I'll have to sketch that out one day.
Greystripe: ngl I'm not his biggest fan. He wasn't exactly the best character throughout the series. I really liked him in the first book as an apprentice with Firepaw and Ravenpaw but in the second book he wasn't really the same cat if that makes sense? Yes he loved Silverstream but he didn't really care about the consequences. He didn't really care about his responsibilities, like his apprentice cause he was busy frolicking with a cat he's only known for literally three chapters. I did start to like him again when he decided to live with his kits in RiverClan after Silverstream, but I started to not like him again when he went back to ThunderClan and didn't really try to connect to his kids? He only showed he cared about them when Tigerstar threatened all half-clan cats, which is good I guess. He just wasn't a good father. He's also super old in the curret books and really wish he and Mistystar would just kick it already. His design is pretty simple, gave him his signature stripe and some fur tufts with a lighter grey. Fullbody, he's super fluffy and big. His shape is mainly circles and round.
Ravenpaw: I love this boy! I've read his novella and comics and loved him! It was really interesting to see his perspective and his relationship with Barely. I do really wish that he changed his name? He forever has a paw name even tho he's old by the time he dies. His awkward nature is super cute and I love reading his journey from this scared apprentice to this noble loner/warrior that is happy catching mice with his bf on a farm. His shapes is mainly just loooong and round lol I love his big ol ears. TennelleFlowers drew him with purple and yellow eyes and I just,,,, love that so I'll happily use that to my design for him! He also has cute little freckles cause he deserves them <3
Tigerstar: The first big bad! I really liked him in the first series but he became over used by the time we got to OOTS <.< I think he's a really compelling villain who had loads of potential if he had just stayed alive a little longer than he did. Although, his death scene was a real fun read I'll tell ya. I designed his mane to make him look much bigger than he his, he's huge but his fur type makes him look even larger. I designed him after a maine coon, his patterns honestly came from his son Bramblestar. I've already designed him to I just added a little more red to the browns and there he is! His shapes are a lot sharper than the previous ones, tho his muzzle is broad making him look like a tiger.
Spottedleaf: Don't really have great an opinion on her tbh. Like Tigerstar, she got overused after she died. I wish Firepaw actually spent time with her before she died so his crush on her would actually seem real. I hate the FirexSpotted ship tho, I see it as Fire getting a goofy crush on a teacher but ultimately gets over it as he matures. The thought that he would still have this dumb crush after he's had a mate for years and had children with said mate just sounds ridiculous. She barely had any screen time while she's alive so I never felt that attached to her when she had her final death. I do really like the Evil Spottedleaf AU tho! I also like the design I gave her, I'm pretty proud of her freckles and markings. I imagine she has lots of leaves in her fur, mainly her tail and mane.
Bluestar: She is certainly a character. Bro she was not really likeble? or a good leader? When she let Rusty into the clan, she allowed a full grown warrior attack a child who had no fighting experience! I bet if Fire wasn't a protagonist, he for sure would've been killed. Longtail was completely in the wrong and she should've stopped the fight before it even began! She made Tigerclaw deputy despite his reputation of causing fights and being aggressive when Whitestorm was right there! She completely shut down after he tried to kill her, which I do understand. She has severe PTSD and depression and she got no help for it for years of her life. She honestly never should've been leader in the first place in my opinion, she had huge anger issues and let her emotions control her decisions. Which isn't bad perse, but she never really thought about her actions before she acted. Which resulted in a lot of explosions in her face. She didn't even hesitate to name Brightpaw, Lostface after she almost died! Like??? dude!? She's not the best mother either. I get that she probably thought that taking her kits to their father was the best decision in order to "protect" the clan from Thistleclaw, even tho there was no indication that Sunstar was even thinking about making him deputy. She chose to give her kits away just like that and it resulted in one of her children dying! She could've turned around but no! If she were a good mother than she would've done everything in her power to keep her kits safe, even if it meant she would'nt be deputy. Whew! That was a rant I got a lot of opinions on Bluestar, I plan one day to write a AU story where she and Oakheart are the parents of Firestar and she's definitely not the best character lol I imagine as a younger cat, she's a lot bluer and her cheek tufts are a longer. She's pretty slender and have long straight shapes, when I designed her
WELL! That's how I see them! I want to do The New Prophecy designs but probs after I do some more pages to Red Water ;]
