Welp,I managed to make an actual pic AND a speed paint! 8D YAYI thought it was about time that u guys got a vid from me and I wanted to work on something that wasn't too simple so..yh xD this is wat I came up with =3
Now,I was talking to Malte yesterday and well,Im actually gonna meet up with him next month for my birthday =3
And I remembered that there was a beach kinda close to where he lives and I came up with this idea after making his dog form last night =3
Honestly,I am REALLY pleased with the outcome of this pic <3 it turned out a bit better than I thought it would =3
It took me ALL day though to work on o3e I'v been working on this since the start of the afternoon till now which is.....9pm for me owo; man... xD

Not bad, but the female's front legs look broken/deformed, not to mention she's missing one of her hind legs as well. In the future, I suggest looking up photo references of running dogs or even a walk cycle animation, I think it would help you greatly when it comes to understanding where to place the legs and how they should bend.

I did try looking up references for running dogs while drawing this and I was looking for a certain position for the run. I found one however I tried drawing it in a different angle which was a tough task but I tried my best

Well you can only learn, right? Don't worry about it, I still have a hard time with it too, when I draw animals at least. Just remember, references are your best friend, and don't be afraid to use them to improve! Another thing that's helped me out in the past is looking up shading/coloring tutorials, you might find a cool style that you like, who knows uvu

It's just sometimes I try so hard to not use references too often cause then I don't feel original
But then again,Im still young and everyone needs to learn step by step with many things.
I have tried quite a few shading styles owo xD

That's good to hear uvu I know that sometimes using a reference feels wrong, but it really isn't. I use them all the time, from photos of people to anatomy tutorials posted right here on DA. I mean, all artists reference, it's something that you need to do if you want to improve your art, so don't feel bad about it!
