Okay, I know Aquamarine is a common gem to pick, I know teardrop is quite often used as a gem shape for gemsonas, but hear me out.

Aquamarine is my birthstone, and since Aqua's got water-based abilities, I picked tear drop to represent water. Aqua is a Home-World gem, originally stationed at an outpost in the arctic. She was frozen in ice while swimming one day, kept in a state of hibernation until she was discovered.

Aqua mainly speaks Latin, as the time she was stationed in the arctic was when Latin was the common dialect, however she can speak English and will mostly, with some old-English mixed in with her attempt at modern colloquials. She doesn't understand modern technology, being a bit clumsy and shy around everything, occasionally breaking a thing or two...

Aqua's gem is located on the base of her neck, right where her neck meets her back. She has gill structures on her neck that allow her to breathe under water, and become more prominent if she changes into her secondary form. Her secondary form is similar to an eel, which is the form she uses for close-range combat if she absolutely has to, but generally uses it for water travel since it allows her to be more hydro-dynamic. Her weapon consists of a crystal recurve bow, which when she pulls arrows from her gem, appears she is pulling them from a quiver.
