How long did you work on this, your details are just mind blowing.

Hmm. About fourty eight hours for both the sculpting of the house and painting everything including the furniture. The collective time for the individual furniture pieces maybe took mm, 12 hours? I had to redo the sink and table twice...but this is pretty speedy for me actually.

I used to work on pieces meant to be small enough to fit into 10mmx5mm bottles. So not having to worry about a tiny strip being too big for once made it a bit easier.

Wow, we'll the time you put into it really shows. Love the wood floors they look so real in texture and color

Hehe, thank you. I actually used two different techniques for the top and bottom because originally it was just going to be a 1 story house. You use the same blending technique for both.

You need a dark brown piece of polymer clay, a light brown piece, a sandy colored piece that's almost white, and finally a white piece. You make each into as even a sheet as you can, then you reduce them(stretching out and flattening), then half, then repeat this about four or five times. Then cut the edge of the piece into equal parts and turn the pieces and you should have the kind of lines that're in the top piece (the white will still probably be very prevalent). Or...you can chose to roll it into a snake and then flatten it and the brow will blend more like wood (most likely) don't handle it too much or the wood-grain will be lost. =3 I hope that helps you to make your own wood pieces in the future!
