zeromager In reply to zeromager [2008-09-06 00:44:08 +0000 UTC]

I thought the would translate into the traditional : P , which is more along the lines of a "sticking your tongue out" icon, a humorous pun if you will. But seeing as dA translated it into a lick, heh, well you can see my dilemma. I would go with the classic for a wink, but that's just a notch above the lick, but then again all of this is really just a meaningless explanation for the justification for the misuse of a mere internet emotion icon, but I thank you for taking the 5 seconds out of your life to read the above.

Get it? Got it? Good.

Seriously dude, until I stumbled upon your account, I was starting to have my doubts about the DeviantArt's male stock photographers. (No offense to M47R1X of course, if he's reading this.)

You actually somewhat resemble a fictitious character that I created named Sid Faustino, who is a werewolf, at least in one incarnation. I have a couple drawings of him in the Scraps of my other account: [link]
I might want to morph you into a photo of this character.

lanhao In reply to SkyJaguar-TFproject [2007-09-04 05:54:58 +0000 UTC]

well, are you painting it or just doing the traditional morph work?

wow, i can't believe i labelled it as traditional

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

SkyJaguar-TFproject In reply to lanhao [2007-09-04 05:59:23 +0000 UTC]

I don't know what you mean by traditional morph work. All the enhancements I consider to be painted on, even every individual hair! I don't use layering.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

lanhao In reply to SkyJaguar-TFproject [2007-09-04 14:35:48 +0000 UTC]

well, i meant take pieces of the photo and warp them instead of painting over

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

SkyJaguar-TFproject In reply to lanhao [2007-09-04 17:33:40 +0000 UTC]

I do some of both, but more painting. When I warp existing stuff, I usually use the smudge tool, and rely very little on the liquify function.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

lanhao In reply to SkyJaguar-TFproject [2007-09-04 20:05:35 +0000 UTC]

I neverused liquify... just warp adn then the smudger... um... where is the liquify tool?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

SkyJaguar-TFproject In reply to lanhao [2007-09-04 21:01:39 +0000 UTC]

Liquify is a thingy in the Filter menu. It's sort of like a heavy duty smudger but with a much larger brush. I only discovered it recently, but I suspect that some artists use it as their primary technique. It can be helpful sometimes, but you can't fine-tune with it. I actually do a lot of smudging, but I consider that to be painting too. Liquify is more like just stretching part of the picture out.
