Description
This piece was done using pencils and then scanned in at a high resolution using Photoshop. The original pencil piece has many complex pencil shades to give off a sense of actual texture on her clothing and small kitten passenger.
This image was drawn in my spare time and was completed in under three weeks. The computer version however took about a month to complete. This image was completed using Photoshop , 3D Studio Max and Illustrator.
The girl herself was textured using many different techniques and images from various sources. Her face and vest were among the hardest to do and took a week just to complete both parts. Her kitten was going to be colored and textured in the same technique as the girl but midway through the process I stopped and decided to try something different and leave the penciled version in and simply add a gradient map to give the kitten it’s hued look thus giving it a more cartoony look rather than a realistic one.
