Dr O Shay from Astro Boy 2003 has quickly become my most favorite character in that series! He's the kind-hearted father figure of Astro and Zoran who instills moral's, instruction, and love in the a fore mentioned 'bots. Granted his mega schnoz sorta threw me for a bit but his mannerisms and genuine kindness have fully won me over!I know I'm in the midst of trying to draw Ed, Edd, and Eddy as the Scooby gang and there was a Batman/Spawn pic I've been trying to figure the composition for but Dr O Shay was REALLY, REALLY wanting me to draw him! How could I refuse?

In the old '65 series and in the movie, he was called Dr. Elefun, which Tezuka admitted he liked. Obviously because of the schnozz.

Lol, yeah. He's always been one of my faves! His nature is just so sweethearted in the 2003 version, the second version I was introduced to. I saw the CGI movie first, then the 2003 series second, then some of the 80's version, and am downloading the '60's version now. Yeah... got introduced to Astro Boy backwards! But it's all good!
