Edd is a bit of a wus when it comes to getting sick and the like. I imagine he's going to turn out to be a raging hypochondriac when he gets older. So wanted to show the sensitive side of Eddy caring for one of Edd's paper cuts. I'm sure Edd gets them all the time since he's always computing and doing homework religiously.
