Lydia's heart was aflutter with anticipation and excitement! After what felt like an eternity, a message from her beloved Thane arrived, informing her of Amber's temporary visit to their world, parallel to the world of Amber's new Dragonborn friend Viola. The news filled her with a joy that was hard to contain.

Giddily, the raven-haired housecarl swiftly cleaned up and put on her best lace-up bodice and skirt. She then adorned her pretty, well-pedicured feet and shapely legs with long, thick, dark-magenta-colored socks and hastily stepped in and buckled up her black Mary Jane shoes. In haste, she nearly forgot her trusty Daedric dagger, formerly acquired in the caves during her adventures with her precious red-haired Thane.

On her way to Windhelm to join the reunion and celebration, Lydia had a wild idea: she would get Amber a little treasure or loot from one of the caves along the way. Cronvangr Cave was not too far off the path, so she thought, "Hmm, this one's not too bad if memory serves - just a few spiders, I think. I should be in and out of there in no time."

Unbeknownst to Lydia, the cave had undergone a sinister transformation since her last visit. A multitude of giant spiders had hatched from their eggs within the dark cave walls, their presence a chilling and sticky surprise for any would-be wandering adventurer.

Not long after the beautiful raven-haired Nord woman entered the cave, she found her right foot stuck in an incredibly sticky puddle of webbed goo.

"Oh no!" Lydia exclaimed. "These are my good shoes! Amber's not gonna be happy."

Just then, she heard an awful hissing noise. *FWIP!* came a lightning-fast string of webbing, grasping desperately fast at the thick cotton on her right leg, pulling it down past her knee.

"GODS!" Lydia screamed as she tumbled on her shapely rump, her socked foot swiftly freed from the tight Mary Jane. "Gah- Fine! Take it!" The spider's eyes gleamed with delight as it lustfully pulled the thick cotton sock from the scared, scrambling housecarl's shapely ankle, smooth, pale heel, and lovely little toes. The monstrous, venomous spider viciously lunged in her direction. Nearly missing the skillfully quick housecarl, the hungry spider landed hard on the sticky spot, greedily devouring the Mary Jane shoe that once nestled Lydia's delicate foot. Pleasurably savoring its lucky fare of shoe and sock, Lydia seized the narrow opportunity to escape.

Not long before our green-eyed heroine finally saw daylight, after a few more near misses with the aggressive spiders, she stumbled across a chest with goods - most likely stashed by bandits. Quickly, she rummaged through the chest and found a few beautiful gems worth giving: a diamond, a ruby, and a precious sapphire that rivaled the bright, nearly luminescent blue of Amber's gorgeous eyes.

"Perfect!" Lydia whispered to herself. "I'd better get outta here quick before- Nngh-!" She looked down then behind herself nervously, feeling the twinge of malicious eyes staring at her from the darkness. "Oh! My foot! It's- Well, at least it doesn't stick to skin as bad. Thank the gods!"

Nearly losing her other Mary Jane, she swiftly climbed to the light, fresh air, and freedom. "Heh, well, that could've gone better. I suppose sacrifices must be made for getting gifts one doesn't buy. I'm sure Amber will understand," Lydia lightly muttered to herself with a slight smile.

Upon safely arriving at Windhelm, Amber chucked as she embraced her beautiful yet disheveled housecarl. "Hehe, what kept you?" Amber asked.

"Oh... Just a little sticky trouble. But I got you these!" Lydia answered somewhat shyly, showing her Thane the jeweled spoils, staring sheepishly down at her half-bared feet.

"Oh, Lydia, thank you so much! You're the only treasure I could ever want," Amber smiled in reply as she embraced her sweet housecarl once more. "Let's get you some new clothes, and- maybe some new shoes, hehe-"

"Heh, sure," Lydia blushed and accepted as they strolled away, shopping and enjoying their brief reunion and revelry. The wine, ale, and mead freely flowed into the night and early morning as they enjoyed each other's company before parting again in peace.
