x'D Ten minute drawings with my adorable, five-year-old niece. I was over at my brother-in-law's place, and I spent a lot of time with their oldest kid, my niece, who REALLY likes My Little Pony. Like, she could give some bronies a run for their money naming episodes and characters and subplots, etc.

So aside from watching episodes and playing with her pony figurines together,* I thought it could be fun to draw ponies together! Only, this resulted in me doing most of the drawing and my niece doing most of the directing and art-advising, since she wanted to see me draw on the computer. So here we have Twilight floating a cup of punch, Princess Cadence, Shining Armor, and Flurry Hearts as an adult, which was actually super fun to imagine.

As for Flurry Heart's cutie mark, it was derived from my niece's headcanon, which was, "So she's from the Crystal STAR kingdom which is, um, right next to the Crystal Heart one." I'm not sure what the Crystal Star Kingdom is all about or what sort of powers they have, but my niece seemed so excited about it, I was like, "why not?" It was also fun doing Flurry Heart's hair, which had to keep getting longer and longer as I drew it until it was basically touching the floor, and my niece was like, "Yep! That looks good!" I can't imagine how much time Flurry spends brushing all of it. TvT

I dunno, this is a pretty goofy drawing (especially since I couldn't work on each pony for very long lest I incur my dear niece's impatience) but it was so much fun, I just had to post it!

*Okay, but I might have to draw out the adventures of the mlp toys, because they were flipping hilarious. My niece liked being Nightmare Moon, leaving me to be an undertrodden, powerless Celestia who had her magic and horn stolen at the beginning of each game, and the plot typically revolved around Nightmare Moon forcing Celestia to do such horrid punishments as cleaning the ENTIRE house with no magic, and eating freshly burned marshmallows that were too hot and occasionally dipped in hot sauce. Such cruelty, Luna, and to your own sister! x'D
