I'm loving this character so much, so her full name is Cecaelia now? I like it, very fitting, and makes sense where the shortened Selya comes from.
I love the changes you made for the character, I remember she was originally black and red which looked cool but definately made her appear ominous and villainous. Since that's not the role she plays in the story I think the colour changes are a big benifit, especially since real optopi tend to be colour changers, I think the multiple colours fit her much better. She's not an eye sore of rainbow vomit though, she's colourful but it's subtle.
I think the hair fins might be my favourite part, it definitely makes her feel more like an actual creature as opposed to a pretty woman photoshopped onto an octopus. You show the fins very well in the sketch page your put together of her. The fins remind me a smidge of Daira, but Selya's find read significantly more like hair. First glance she looks human enough but the longer you look at Selya the more inhuman you realize she actually is and I absolutely love that.
I mentioned the fins remind me a bit of Daira, watch that you don't also give Selya the thousand yard stare Daira has; you show this much better in the sketch pages since you show a few different expressions but Selya has the same large eyes Daira has so i'd just watch to make sure you're not making the characters expressions too similar. Granted, large eyes make sense for a deep sea creature, so I'd be hesitant to change the eyes on Selya.

Thank you so much for the feedback as always, I have been really itching for more models and subjects to play with, although I agree, the similarities between her and Daira are there, and I'll take more careful note in the future.

Nothing says that your characters can't look similar, I just recall that's something you like to steer away from. c: As always, I'm excited to see more of this new character as she develops further, you know where to find me if you ever need to brainstorm.
