Originally posted as a b/w reference sheet but I decided to color it! Lord Hydra ref sheet commission for *AshasCadence !Funny thing, I kept wanting to type "Lord Hood" instead of "Hydra". Halo on the brain lols
I just love how the reference came out for a character of this particular make. Those color patterns!

Ah! Well, perhaps I can help explain processes in that regard.
Most artists nowadays have a Terms of Service (ToS) available for possible clients to read and agree to (often linked to on front pages, within image descriptions, or in journals).
These terms are often accompanied by a 'buyer's guide' or price list providing samples of artwork and styles available for service. Contact information is typically included here as well, some artists are fine with DeviantART notes, others prefer third-party options such as direct email contact (usually the artist's business account instead of a personal email). On the rare occasion you may even find some artists utilizing Google document forms that are to be filled out, etc to streamline what you're interested in.
Once communication is established the artist will prompt whether or not they'll take the commission and things kind of go their own way from there. C:

You're refs always look so neat and clean. I'm wondering, how do you the the lineart? By hand, or maybe pen tool in photoshop or you use some other trick? Because even if I do one on big sized canvas and resize it later it still looks kind of messy.
And the ref is as amazing as always ^^ The second pic on the bottom is the best. Hands gestures are quite expressive ^^

No pen tool and no traditional media is used, I ink the entire image by hand with the tablet pen. :>
