Description A request for my sister!

She wanted me to draw this since about February, but by that time I couldn't paint skys or people as I wanted to.. so I put it off.
This took about 5-7 hours, I think? I still need to work a lot on my speed .

But it was really fun to do! I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed doing it! ^^

If you have any suggestions or you could critique this, I would really appreciate it!

I really love how you draw skies. In this scene, the landscape feels so warm and at the same time refreshing. The arms could be foreshortened though, so that it could be aligned with the angle of the body. The length could also be tweaked so that it fits the proportion of the body. But overall, I could feel like I'm outdoors too just by looking at this picture. You capture landscapes well, and that's a good thing. Keep it up and more power to you, I know you can do it! I'll be waiting for your future art works. Let's keep practicing. Cheers! ^_^

Thank you so much Mari!! You're always so helpful ;v;
I just chaged it a bit, but the proportions still look off .
I really want to learn to draw humans without looking at references all the time. May I ask your opinion? Where should I start?

You are always welcome!
When I started drawing figures, I first did gesture studies. And then to get the proportions, I would draw cylinders, boxes and other simple shapes to see if things are okay. You may also check out the 7- or 8-head measurements. I recommend Proko from youtube. He has a lot of good stuff when it comes to figure drawing and it is definitely worth watching his videos.

Aw thank you! Well, I haven't done any tutorials, maybe in the future . But yes, I do use some especial brushes. You can download them here: [Link]

I use the the brushes 40 and 70 of the special section. I use the first one to paint basic water and then I use the other one playing around with colors, size and opacity until I get the result I want. At the end I paint over with a soft brush, usually in overlay mode, to add some depth. Hope that helps!
