A personal favourite out of my watercolours! I completely freehanded the grass and I really like how it turned out. I hope I can manage to do it again whenever I need it to do paint grass like this again lmao
This could be considered a redemption from an older digital painting that I ended up not liking.

It was inspired by this tweet/trend of Ash possibly being able to play the harmonica. I tend to associate Ash with rock music and electric guitars, thanks to all of his character songs in English and Japanese—but the harmonica is super cute!

Personally, I don’t think Ash would be able to get a tune out of any instrument. He just doesn’t strike me as musically talented. That’s why Skye looks more endeared than utterly smitten with his man’s playing skills. He thinks it’s cute that Ash wants to try something so different from his usual high-energy hobbies. The Nidoran are simply ignoring Ash as best they can.

As the thread mentions, the harmonica is associated with the countryside so I thought it would be perfect to draw the boys during their summer together on Tohjo Ranch together.

Not sure where Ash would even get a harmonica in the first place, so maybe he’s borrowing his mother’s old one because Delia is 100% a woman of many talents. She had to be to raise Ash as a single teen mother.
