I can't believe I've been found out like this… But more then that, I can't believe Sebastian had even taken that picture of me in the first place. That camera, it shows who you care most about, but only people who are not of this world… Why he wanted to take that picture is beyond me.

I only just admit to myself that I rely on Sebastian more then I should, that Sebastian means more to me then he should… That I like Sebastian more then I should… However, I know that such thoughts are irrational; I know even if I do like, perhaps even love, Sebastian, that he only thinks of me as the human he signed a contract with, his eyes only see me as a meal, and even if he did see more in me it wouldn't change anything.

Sebastian is a Demon. I, Ciel, am a human. Even if he did feel for me these facts sway any irrational hopes I may have… So why did I have my servants try to take that picture? I couldn't help but want to know who would be show up next to Sebastian in that photo.

After the photo had finally been taken, I had been told that Pluto had burned it, Sebastian had that smirk on his face at the time he told me… I know he had something to do with it, after all that work he won't even let me see it, than adds insult to injury by taking a picture of me with that camera.

I sure by then he already knew how I felt, that demon always seems to know every thing, so why? Did he simply want proof? Did he want to tease me? Or did he just want to make me wonder why like I'm doing now? Does it really even matter?

No matter what the answer it still doesn't change anything. Sebastian still only thinks of me as food, he is still a demon, and I am still a human. To him, my feelings are nothing but flavoring for my soul. He doesn't care about me or how I feel, only how I taste.

In the end, is there even a reason to be thinking about this? No. It doesn't matter how much I think about it, it will never change, I won't think about things I already know the answer to. I won't be held back by useless feeling. I won't hesitate. I must keep moving forward, or, like Madam Red, I'll be put in check mate…

…However, no matter if I hesitate or not, already, Sebastian has me in check mate…
