The Mystic Omen:

Susan O'Maley was born in the Glastonbury abbey in England. A structure that is built, on the Earth's focal point of intersecting Leyline energy. Just as her mother went into labor, a freak lightning strike hit the ground close to where her mother was giving birth, the resulting strike ionized the air particles and for a split second, the leyline energy from beneath the earth was visible. the Energy released flowed throughout the abbey, and engulfed Susan's Mother as she was giving Birth..this energy also alleviated Susan's Mother's Pain...

As Susan was born, a brilliant light emanated from her head until her 2nd birthday, her parents had hoped that she would be healthy and normal and were relieved when the glow finally ceased..growing up Susan learned of some of the strange things she was able to do. her small telekinetic abilities, and her apparent sixth sense were a few astonishing things she discovered in her teen years. She was able to see things before they would actually happen. But only things that involved and affected her.

As Susan O'Maley grew into an adult, she left the quite town in Ireland, and joined the British secret service, there she honed her skills under a Doctor Smith Van Buren, who helped her achieve the ultimate goal of becoming the perfect spy. Given the Code Name: Omen, Susan was able to see bullets fly and dodge them well before ever being fired, and she could counter any hit or attack launched at her by an enemy. her telekinetic abilities allowed her to speed up her movements, and aide her in acrobatics.. she was the one woman army..

When World War II began in Europe, Omen was called to duty to join an elite superhero group funded by the British and American Government called the Super Soldiers of Victory!!

In later years, after the end of World War II, and the cold War, the Mystic Omen seemingly disappeared..until years later she encountered the LioSabre, whom it was found out was her son, and the son of Collin Hawthorne, the Knight Sabre..Mystic Omen was thought long dead, but had secretly retired from the life of a Super Spy. She too has been kept alive and not aging due to the special sarcophagus of the first king of Egypt, Ra and his wife Kofi Ashunti..Knight Sabre had Ra's special mystic sarcophagus, while Omen possessed Ashunti's.. Susan and Collin Hawthorne had a falling out in the late 1970's and Collin elected to raise their son Nathan Hawthorne.

Mystic Omen, is now in the employ of the British secret service, and at times aides the Liosabre in protection of the innocent..

thanks, I bet alot of characters look good without trunks on, but as a super hero style and staple of the bygone silver age era, it is still cool..Glad you stopped by, been awhile since I got feedback from you... and I value your approval very much since your a great artist as well.. and I still remember the support you av through that whole ridiculous BroHawk crap...thanks man .

I'd say that the trunks make her look taller, but I honestly think this version makes her look more "mature" (or older).

hmmm never saw it that way, but your right she does look older.. which is good, because she's in her mid 20's

WingedJedi In reply to skywarp-2 [2008-05-10 03:12:10 +0000 UTC]

I'd rather place her in her mid 30's, but I think that's only because of the hair cut.

it's the 1940s those horned rimmed glases made women look older as well as the hair styles..

Personally, I've never been a fan of the trunks, but it is a Golden Age tradition for heroes. As much as I like the trunkless look better, it might come down to how you view (or she views herself).

Dangerman-1973 [2008-05-06 19:59:32 +0000 UTC]

I would like it better if she does wear trunks.

How is it that most male superheroes wear trunks on the outside while most female superheros DO NOT?

yeah, that's weird...maybe most super heroes had underoos as a kid??
