"I've waited like this by only looking at you." - SHINee's "Lucifer"

Sooooo I am so incredibly happy to finally have gotten to do a shoot of this costume. It’s nearly been… a year since I made it and to have not done a photo shoot for it sooner is practically unacceptable (aka, I was dieing to do one for forever but just couldn’t get the chance to do one >.< ). This is a cosplay of Jonghyun from the K-Pop band SHINee based off of his darker outfit in the Music Video “Lucifer” (Korean Version). The top, pants, skirt, leg sleeve, and bracelet were all completely hand made by me and took about a month, maybe a little less. The wig I worked on with my friend Kristen and I altered a body suit to wear underneath.

I pretty much had to make my own pattern for this thing; had a base for it and then went from there… I can’t tell you how much I hate working with leather/pleather/any kind of material that dislikes holes being poked through it now that it’s done, lol. Such fun putting this thing together. I also spent a lot of time watching the MV to get the details correct. The whole outfit was indeed an adventure to make. When I premiered this at Otakon 2011 last year, I went with my friend feline-soul who went as Taemin (so much fun!) so at some point we have to do a shoot together too.

This shoot was done about a month or so ago with my friend Tsukasa325. We went to the basement of a parking garage late at night in the middle of a storm. All the water! (Reminded me of the Japanese version of the Music Video, lol.) But it was really fun and I loved the colors that it highlighted in the photos. Anyway, I hope you like it!
