Description
Slaine and the Three Evil Rats 4:Smells Like a RatThe story begins with Slaine walking out of the hospital with a sad look and then sitting on a bench. Goodily sees him and comes to comfort him. "Hey, Slaine," he said. "Oh hi, Goodily," Slaine replied. "Everything okay?" Goodily asked. "Not really. My brother's injuries are sevre and the doctors say it'll take a while for him to get better," Slaine replied. "Oh. Well, I hope you don't feel sad afterwards because I always believe everything will turn out okay at the end," Goodily replied. "Well, what about you and Ottio?" Slaine asked. Goodily sighs sadly and said, "Good point. I miss the old Ottio. You know, when he wasn't so evil." "That reminds me," Slaine asked. "I've been meaning to ask you, how did Ottio become evil in the first place?" Goodily then tells Slaine the story. "Well, it all began five or six years ago, when we were lab rats and the scientist was making a potion that makes animals crazy and evil." "And did it work?" Slaine asked. "Not yet," said Goodily. "It only changed Chumbly, Ottio and Skimpy's looks, but they were still they weren't evil yet and I was the only one who remained the same." "Why?" Slaine asked. "...I don't really know," Goodily replied. "But then the scientist was so mad, he gave up science and threw the potion in the trash. Ottio then gets the bright idea of giving the scientist a taste of his own medicine. I tried telling Ottio it was a bad idea, but he wouldn't listen, so he puts the potion in the scientist's drink while he wasn't looking, but one he drank it, his body was killing him. He couldn't scream, speak or even move properly, so he was taken to the hospital when the scientist found him, but none of the doctors could and to make matters worse, we were all taken to a pet store. Later, a mother with two kids and two teenagers bought us and it didn't go very well for us because all of them mistreated us, such as pulling our tails, throwing us around, making us take the blame for snacks we didn't even eat and the mother wasn't even bothered by all this. After about a few months, we got thrown out as the kids and teens made fun of us and that was enough to finally break Ottio into madness and evilness, so he waited for them all to go to sleep and he kidnapped them all with the help of Chumbly and Skimpy and then brought them to the forest and that's when they created their lair underneath and that's when Ottio started making potions that'll kill the kids and I tried all I can to stop them, but no matter how much, they always get killed at the end. And that basically brings us to where we are now." "Well...I'm sorry about that," Slaine said. "No, that's okay, it's not your fault," Goodily replied. "But to Ottio, all kids and teens are like this and I wish he wasn't like that now because he used to like humans." "Well, maybe someday he'll change his mind...or maybe not," Slaine replied. "Maybe," Goodily sighed. "But he probably never will." While they weren't noticing, Chumbly, Ottio and Skimpy were watching them. "Did you hear that?" Chumbly asked. "Yeah, Slaine now knows the story," Skimpy replied. "WHO CARES?!" Ottio yelled. "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PAST! I LIKE WHAT I AM NOW, A MONSTER WHO KILLS KIDS AND TEENS AND ADULTS SOMETIMES! THAT'S WHO I AM NOW AND THAT'S ALL WHO I WANT TO BE! Now...let's put this perfect plan into action." He then pulls out a potion that shows a person next to an arrow pointing to a rat. "Well, I'm gonna go home now," said Slaine. "Okay, see ya later," said Goodily. Then when Slaine walked away, he was suddenly grabbed from behind the tree! "Slaine!" Goodily cried and he ran towards the tree and saw that Chumbly and Skimpy are now humans and are holding Slaine down and Ottio came up behind them and picked Goodily up and said, "Well, well, well, Goodily. Looks like we're the humans now." "Ottio?!" Goodily gasped. "You had a human potion?!" "Uh-huh," Ottio replied. "And lookie at what else I have." He holds up the same potion from before. Slaine looks at it and both he and Goodily quickly realized what he intended to do. "Oh gosh..." Goodily said, nervously. "Oh no..." Slaine said, terrified. Ottio threw Goodily behind him and shoved the potion down Slaine's throat. "NOOOOO!" Goodily yelled, but it was too late. Slaine turned into a rat with his clothes falling off. "Hahahahahaha, perfect!" Ottio laughed. "Look at you now, Slaine. A rat, a helpless, weak, little rat. Now it'll be even harder to stop me-- I mean, us from killing you." "Look, I know you're only doing this because of what you went through in the past, but that doesn't make it okay for you to--" Slaine tried saying. "SHUT UP!" Ottio interrupted. "You ever talk about my past again and I'll squish you under my shoe!" "Wait, where did you get clothes from when you turned into a human?" Goodily asked. "...because my potion worked that way!" Ottio replied, exasperated. Then he pulls out a cage, which he locked Goodily and Slaine in and called pest control. Then when the truck came, Ottio said, "Here take these rats! They've been investing our home and we just want to get rid of them!" The pest control truck driver looked at Goodily and Slaine and said, "No problem. We'll have them under control as soon as possible." And he puts the cage in the truck, which is filled with other cages. As he drives, Goodily and Slaine saw Goodily with an evil grin wave to them. Distressed, Slaine asked, "What do we do now, Goodily?" "I...I don't know," Goodily replied. "I've never been in this situation before. But don't worry, I'm sure we'll find a way out soon." "Well, good luck with that," said a voice. "Who said that?" Slaine asked. "Up here, kid," replied a grasshopper, who is cleaning his legs. "Who are you?" Goodily asked. "What, ain't you never seen a grasshopper before?" the grasshopper asked. "Name's Grassify. And you?" "Goodily and this is Slaine," Goodily said. "Nice to meet you," Slaine said. "This your first time here, kid?" asked another creature, who is a bee named Bumby. "Uhh, yeah," Slaine replied. "First time for both of us," said Goodily. "Well, get used to it," said a centipede named Carrie. "We've been here for more than 5 or 6 years." "And some of us didn't make it," said Grassify, pointy to a dead beetle. "Poor Bea," said Carrie. Both Slaine and Goodily shudder. "At least some of us are still alive," said an ant father. "Not for long," said an ant mother. "Our remaining children might not make it." "You know who I blame?" A mosquito named Manny asked. "I blame those humans!" "Yeah, humans are the worst!" said Grassify. "Tell me about it," said Carrie. "And they were responsible for our dead children!" said the ant mother. "Not to mention they ruin EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING!" Bumby added. Both Slaine and Goodily gave each other awkward looks. The other pests noticed and Carrie asked, "Something wrong?" "Umm, actually," said Goodily. "My friend Slaine here was a human himself." "WHAT?!" all the other pests yelled. "Let me at him!" Grasslfy yelled. "I want to sting him!" Bumby yelled. "And suck his blood!" Manny yelled. "No, no, no, calm down! Calm down," Goodily said. "He's actually good and he was transformed into a rat by another rat. He's blue, has red, evil eyes, sharp teeth and occaisionly grows devil horns and has dark-red eyes.""Wait, do you mean Ottio?" Grassify asked. Slaine and Goodily gasped. "Yeah," Goodily replied. "but how do you know who he is?" "We all know who he is," said Carrie. "Yeah, and we all hate him!" Manny added. "He even tried to kill us just because we were in the way and even go as far to destroy our homes!" Bumby cried. "He was also responsible for some of our kids' deaths," the Ant Mother added. "He truly is pure evil," the Ant Father added. "Okay, how many kids did you have?" Slaine asked. "Yeah, that's a good question," Goodily replied. "Uhh, we had ten," the Ant Father replied. "Yeah, but 2 of them were killed in a fire, 3 of them were killed by--" the Ant Mother said. "I don't think they need to know," Grassify interuppted. "So he turned that human into a rat and trapped you both in a cage?" Manny asked. "Yes," both Slaine and Goodily replied. "Grrr! That little furry ball of fire! I'd like to suck all his blood out and--" Manny growled, but the Ant Father interuppted him and said, "Woah, woah, woah! Not in front of the kids, Manny." Manny sighed, "Sorry." "Oh, and by the way," said Bumby, pointing to a sad-looking spider in a cage, who looks very familiar. "It that...Peligro?" Goodily asked. "You mean, Ottio's spider?" Slaine asked. "Well, he WAS Ottio's spider," said Carrie. "Yeah, till he said that I was no use to him anymore, so he threw me out and I ended up being caught," Peligro replied. "Now I don't want to be evil anymore." "Well, do you want to work with us?" Goodily asked. "Yes..." Peligro said. Goodily smiled. "Alright, so how do we get outta here?" Slaine asked. "Good question," said Grassify. "We never tried to get out of here," Bumby. "Well, guess there's a first time for everything," said the Ant Mother. "That's what I always say to our children when they try something new." "Let's look around to see what we could use to get outta here," said the Ant Father.Meanwhile, Ottio, Chumbly and Skimpy were still human and had no idea what they wanted to do next. "Uhh, boss?" Chumbly asked. "What?" Ottio asked, annoyed. "We got rid of Slaine and Goodily so...what do we do next?" "I...I...I...uhh...don't know," Ottio replied, then he gasped, "Jason!" "What?" Chumbly and Skimpy asked, confused. "That little boy we kidnapped last time, I wanna get revenge on him too!" Ottio replied. Chumbly and Skimpy looked at each other in shock and Chumbly said to Ottio, "But wait. Boss, we're not rats anymore, remember?" "He's right," said Skimpy. "We could get into serious trouble if we do it as humans." Ottio thought for a moment and then said, "I don't care! I just want to see that boy die, rat or not!" Chumbly and Skimpy looked at each other againd and gulped nervously. Meanwhile, the truck was still driving as Slaine, Goodily and the others were still thinking. "Hmm, this truck sure has been driving for a long time," said Goodily. "Yeah," said Slaine. "Where even are we going?" "Well, it is really far," said Grassify. "And by that, we mean, really, really, really far," said Bumby. "Well, at least that gives us more time to think," said the Ant Father. Then they all started thinking again. Then Goodily got an idea. "Wait, I have an idea," he said. "What?" asked Grassify. "What is it?" asked Bumby. "You have an idea?" Slaine asked. "Yeah," said Goodily. "What if we knock these cages down and maybe the truck doors will open and we can bounce them out," Goodily explained. "Sounds like a good idea," said Peligro. "Yeah," said The Ant Father. "Seems like it could work." "It better," said Manny. "But wait. The truck would have to hit a rock or something for the cages to fall and by this long road, it could take a long time for these cages to--" Before Manny could finish his sentence, the truck hit a big rock and all the cages bump. "That works," said Manny. Then everyone knocks their cages down when the truck hit another big rock and the driver hears them and stops the truck so hard that it caused the truck doors to open and all the cages to fall out, including the one Slaine and Goodily are in. They fall down back into the forest and in front of Ottio. "Grr! You again!" he growled as he picked the cage up. "I don't know how many times I have to try to get rid of you, but I..." then he hears water in the distance and turns his head to where it's coming from and then turns back to the caged rats with a wide, sadistic smile. "And I know just how to do that. I know the perfect way to do that." Then just as he was about to throw the cage, Slaine yelled, "Wait!" "WHAT?!" Ottio yelled. "Look, I know why you act like this and I don't blame you, but killing is never the answer and if you could just give us a chance, me and Goodily could try to make things better for you, Ottio," Slaine said and then he turned to Goodily and said, "Right Goodily?" Goodily nods and said, "Yes, we would try to make things better for you and show you that you can do something other than kill kids, teens and adults. So come on, Ottio. What do you say?" Ottio then lowers the cage and said, "You're right. I should try to learn that killing people is not the answer." Slaine and Goodily, along with Chumbly and Skimpy smiled, thinking that Ottio had a change of heart, but then he glared at them with a monstrous look and shouted, "BUT I DON'T CARE AND I WILL NEVER CHANGE! GOODBYE!" He then threw the cage anyway as Chumbly and Skimpy yelled, "NO!" Then the cage with Slaine and Goodily falls into the water. Ottio rubs his hands and said, "Finally! Now that they're taken care off...let's go take care of Jason now." As the cage slowly sinks into the water, Slaine frantically asked, "What do we do, Goodily?!" "I don't know, just keep paddling!" Goodily replied as he and Slaine tried to paddle up, but the cage sinks into the water anyway. "Hold your breath!" Goodily cried as he and Slaine tried desperately to make the cage swim up but to no avail as it sinks to the bottom. Then they were both starting to feel weak. "I...I don't think I could do this for much longer..." Slaine blubbed. "No!" Goodily blubbed back. "Come on, Slaine! We can't give up now! We just...can't." Meanwhile, Chumbly asked Ottio, "Uh, boss? Could there be a chance that Slaine and Goodily survive drowning?" "Oh, I hope not!" Ottio replied. "And it shouldn't have because they're both locked up nice and tight, leaving them both helplessly trapped and they would have no choice but to accept their horrible fate!" He grins the whole time while saying it, which scared both Chumbly and Skimpy. "Sometimes I think he's too evil," whispered Skimpy to Chumbly and he nodded. Ottio then turned around and asked, "What was that?" with a menacing look on his face. Chumbly and Skimpy both looked at Ottio with nervous looks and Chumbly said, "Uhh, nothing boss." "Yeah, nothing at all," said Skimpy. "Now...let's kidnap and kill Jason." Ottio smirked and said, "Splendid idea." Then he walked off as Chumbly and Skimpy nervoulsly looked at the lake behind them. Meanwhile while he and Slaine were trying to still push the cage up, Goodily started to feel weaker as he closed his eyes and let himself fall. "GOODILY!" Slaine yelled. "No! Come on, not now! Not now, Goodily! We need to get outta here, now please wake up! Please." Then a moment later, Slaine notices some light in the distance and as it gets closer, Slaine stats to feel alarmed as he tried to push the cage up himself, but it was too heavy and as the light gets near, Slaine started to yell till it was reavealed that it was a cat. "Hello," she said. "My name is Aqua and I am a water cat." "Water cat?" Slaine asked. "Yes," said Aqua. "We are very rarely seen, but those who see us are usually in desperate need for help and our job is to help them." "Well, we are in desperate help right now," Slaine explained. "I got turned into a rat and me and my friend here could drown at any second!" "No worries," said Aqua. "I will help you both." She spins faster and faster it creates a whirpool and it carried Slaine and Goodily out of the cage, launched them both into the sky and on the ground. Slaine coughed as he picks himself up from the ground. He then sees Aqua standing on the water and he smiles and says, "Thanks," to her. "You are welcome," Aqua replied. "Where is your friend?" Slaine gasped and called, "Goodily? Goodily? Goodily? Goo--" He gasped again when he saw Goodily, who looks lifeless. Devastated, Slaine came over and said, "Goodily? Goodily, come on. Wake up. Goodily, please wake up. You need to wake up, please. We...we gotta stop Ottio." As he continues to speak, his eyes started tearing up. "Please...don't do this to me...Goodily. Goodily...no! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He screams to the sky and then sobs on Goodily's body. Aqua came and said, "Oh dear. This does not look good." Slaine sniffled and said, "He was my friend. He saved me and some other kids from a really evil rat who hates kids and teens...but now he's gone...and there's nothing I could do about it." He continued to cry till Aqua said, "I see that you really care about your friend and are really sad that he might be dead," Slaine snapped, "Of course I am! What else would I be feeling?!" "However, I can use my magic to bring him back to life," said Aqua." "You can?" Slaine asked. "Yes," said Aqua. "You just need to stand back." "Okay," said Slaine as he stands back and lets Aqua do her magic. She chanted something and the water swirled around Slaine and Goodily. This caught the attention of Chumbly and Skimpy who turned around and saw the water swirling over the forest. "Uhh, boss?" Chumbly said. "WHAT?!" Ottio asked. Then Skimpy pointed to the water, which Ottio sees, but then he said, "Let's go, we'll worry about that later." Aqua then raised her paws in the air and then magic was beamed into Goodily and then it stopped. Then Goodily begins to stir and wake up. "Goodily?!" Slaine gasped, coming over to him. Goodily moans and whispers, "Slaine...?" Slaine was happy to see his friend alive and cried, "Goodily?" Goodily then looks at Slaine and gasped, "Slaine?!" and he was happy too and then they both shared an emotional embrace as Aqua watches. Once they finished hugging, Slaine turned to thank Aqua, only to realize she's gone. "Where did she go?" Slaine asked himself. "Who?" Goodily asked. "It's...well, I...never mind," Slaine replied. "Hmm, okay," said Goodily. "Come on, let's go stop Ottio." "Good idea," Slaine replied. Meanwhile, Ottio, Chumbly and Skimpy were hiding behind the trees waiting for Jason and soon enough, all three of them got tired of waiting. "Boss, I don't think Jason's here," said Chumbly. "Yeah, I don't think so either," said Skimpy. "Well, maybe we should just go home then," Ottio said sarcastically. "Really?" Chumbly and Skimpy asked, getting ready to leave. "NO!" Ottio yelled. "I was obviously being sarcastic! And we're not going anywhere! We are waiting here till Jason comes!" Both Chumbly and Skimpy walk back with annoyed sighs. Then they hear a dog bark and a familair voice saying, "Oh, Diablo, you're so silly!" It was Jason. Once Ottio layed eyes on him, a huge grin rolled up on his face as his eyebrows lowered than any average human could. "There he is..." he said very slowly and raspy. Both Chumbly and Skimpy shuddered when he said that. "Let's go!"Then Slaine and Goodily arrived at the same time when Ottio grabbed Jason, which caught the attention of everyone and the mother tried stopping Ottio by hiting him with her purse and yelling, "Hey! Get your hands off of my little boy, you creep! Leave him alone!" while someone else called 911 and said, "There's some creep trying to kidnap a little boy at Krowtra Street.", but then Ottio almost managed to get away till he was biten on the butt by Jason's dog Diablo, which made Ottio scream in pain and let go of Jason, who ran back to his mother scared and then the police came and arrested Ottio as Chumbly and Skimpy watched from behind two trees. Then they noticed Slaine and Goodily. "What are you guys doing here?" Chumbly asked. "We thought you guys were dead!" Skimpy said. "We thought we were too," said Slaine. "But then we were saved by a water cat." "What?" Goodily asked, confused. "Did that really happen?" "Yeah," Slaine replied. "I know it doesn't sound believable, but that's what really happened. Her name's Aqua and she also saved you from dying." "Wow," said Goodily. "I'd like to meet her sometime." "I'm sure you will," Slaine replied. "Should we go and save Ottio?" "I guess so," said Skimpy. "He would kill us if we don't." "And we better bring this if he wants to be a rat again," said Chumbly holding the human-to-rat potion. As they went, Jason noticed them with a shocked face. "What's wrong, Jason?" his mother asked. "Uh, nothing," Jason replied. "You okay, darling?" his mother asked. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay," Jason replied. "Good. Then let's go home," his mother said, grabbing Jason's hand and walked home with him.At jail, Ottio is sitting in his cell, grumbling, "Even as a human, my plan fails! Why does it always happen to me?!" Outside, Chumbly, Skimpy, Slaine and Goodily were standing outside and Goodily asked, "Are you sure this is a good idea?" "Yeah, he tried to kill us," Slaine added. "Well, you never know," said Chumbly. "He could have some good in his heart after all." "Yeah, maybe nobody's truly evil," said Skimpy. "No matter what." Both Slaine and Goodily weren't sure if that's true. Then Chumbly and Skimpy both drank the human-to-rat potion before throwing in through the bars of Ottio's cell really quick before they turn back into rats. Ottio notices the potion and looks outside, confused. "Hi, boss!" called Chumbly from the bottom. "We gave you the potion!" called Skimpy. Ottio smiled, but not like his usual evil smile. "Thanks, guys!" he called back. Then he drank the potion and turned back into a rat. He then escaped through a crack into a wall. "What about Slaine?" Goodily asked. "He still needs to be turned human again." "Don't worry," said Chumbly. "We have the rat-to-human potion too." Slaine, relieved, took the potion and was about to drink it when Ottio suddenly grabbed it from him and held it high above his head. "Hey!" Slaine yelled, trying to get it back. "Give it back!" Ottio laughs. "Did you really think I'd let you get this potion so easily? You're even more dumb than I thought, Slaine. It's adorable." As he talks, Goodily starts to get angry at Ottio. "And now, you'll never be human again. You're gonna stay as a rat for the rest of your life and the best part is, it'll be way easier to kill you now." "But boss, we thought you'd be good this time," said Chumbly. "Yeah, that's why we gave you that potion," added Skimpy. Ottio laughs again. "Oh, you two. You guys are also dumber than I thought. You know, if you guys weren't so good at helping me kidnap and kill kids, I would've worked alone years ago." Goodily starts to get more and more agressive as Ottio turns to him. "And you, Goodily. You're too weak to stop me. You were never strong enough, never brave enough. Heck, you're not even monstrous enough. And I don't even know why you bother trying because it's useless and now..." He then holds Slaine in a headlock with a finger on his neck. "Slaine will die and there's nothing you can do about it." "SHUT UP!! LET HIM GO RIGHT NOW!!" Goodily yelled as he punched Ottio, releasing Slaine. Chumbly and Skimpy gasped with shock.Goodily then calmed down and gasped at himself. "Did...did I just do that?" "Uh, yeah," said Chumbly. "You just punched Ottio. Really hard." "And you gave him a black eye," added Skimpy. "Wow..." Slaine whispered. "Are you okay, Slaine?" Goodily asked. "Uh, yeah, but I didn't know you could do that," Slaine replied. "Neither did I," Goodily replied. "It's like I...felt sudden aggression. I don't know why." Slaine gasped at Goodily's leg. "I think I know why," he said. "What?" Goodily asked. Slaine points to Goodily's leg and he gasped too. The fur on it is now black! "Oh no!" he cried. "What is that?" Chumbly asked. "What's happening?" Skimpy asked. "I think it's the potion the scientist gave us," Goodily replied. "I think it's affecting me now." "So...you're turning evil too?" Slaine asked. Ottio chuckled as he stands up. "Exactly," he replied. "I've been waiting years for this and now it's finally happening. You'll become one of us, Goodily." "No! I don't want to become one of you!" Goodily yelled. "I want to save Slaine and Jason and--" "I know, I know, but did you save any of the others?" Ottio asked. Goodily couldn't respond to that question, so he sighs sadly. "Just what I thought," Ottio said. "Wha..." Slaine gasped. "And as for you, Slaine," Ottio said, holding the potion up, out of Slaine's reach. "you're not quite saved either because now you're--" Then he was interrupted by an army of bugs and it was the bugs who were in the truck from before. "CHARGE!!!" they yelled in the distance. Ottio gasped to see them and tried to run from them, but they caught up to him. "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU DIRTY INSECTS!" he yelled, but they didn't listen.Grassify kicked Ottio's face, Bumby stung Ottio's nose, making it swell, Carried held Ottio down so Peligro can wrap him up in his webs and then the ant kids punch Ottio in the face. "Get him, kids!" encouraged the Ant Father. "Yeah, give this monster what he deserves!" encouraged the Ant Mother. "This is for our 3 brothers!" yelled one of them. "And for our 2 sisters!" yelled another one. "You're lucky I'm not so hungry right now," grumbled Manny. "PELIGRO!" Ottio yelled. "You're supposed to obey me! You're supposed to be my spider!" "Sorry, Ottio," said Peligro. "but you betrayed me and I think you deserve to be punished." Ottio growled. "CHUMBLY! SKIMPY!" he yelled. Chumbly and Skimpy ran to Ottio, picked him and carried him. "Sorry," they both said before they ran away. "Thanks, guys," Slaine said. "But something tells me that won't be the last time we see him." "Yeah, probably not," said Goodily. "But at least you're safe now." Slaine and Goodily smiled at each other. Then one of the ant kids asked, "What's this?" as he picks up the rat to human potion. "Oh, the rat to human potion!" said Goodily, taking the potion from the ant kid. "I forgot. Thanks. Open wide, Slaine." Slaine opened his mouth and Goodily poured the potion in his mouth and a few seconds later, Slaine changed back into a human, clothes and all. "Yay! I'm a human again! Woo hoo!" Slaine cheered. He almost stepped on the bugs as he celebrates. "Careful, Slaine. You'll squish these guys," Goodily warned. "Oh, sorry," Slaine said. "Good for you, pal," said Grassify. "Yeah, glad you're back to normal, kid," said Bumby. "At least you're...a good human," said Manny. "And thank you for not killing our kids," said the Ant Father. "And us," said the Ant Mother. "You rock, dude!" exclaimed one of the ant kids. "Yeah, you're great!" exclaimed another one. "No, you're amazing!" said the last one. "And also, thank you, and Goodily for helping us to escape," said Carrie. "And also for not betraying me," said Peligro. "For that, I'm forever on your guys' side now." "Thanks, guys," said Slaine. "Yeah, thanks," said Goodily. "See, Slaine? I told you everything would turn out better at the end." "Well, yeah, but my brother's not better yet," Slaine sighed, but then his phone rung and it was his mom. "Wait, it's my mom. Hold on," he said, answering it. "Hey, mom. What's up? Wha-- really?! Are you serious? Okay. Alright. I'll be there in 5 minutes. Bye!" "What was that about?" Goodily asked. "My mom said that my brother's feeling better now. But...how? Eh, it doesn't matter," Slaine replied. "Anyway, you were right, Goodily. Things did turn out better." "I told you. Now you're going to the hospital?" Goodily replied. "Yeah, and this would be a crazy story to tell him. Anyway, see you later!" Slaine said as he runs off to the hospital. "Bye!" Goodily and the insects called to Slaine.Later, at the hospital, Slaine walks into the room where his brother is. "Hey," he said softly. "Slaine?" Slaine's brother asked. "Where have you been?" "Well, it's been a long, crazy story," Slaine replied. "And I'll tell you about it now." Then in Ottio's hideout, Ottio was recovering from his injuries where Chumbly and Skimpy walked up to him and Chumbly asked, "What are we gonna do now, boss?" Ottio grumbled. "We'll get rid of that...furry thing that saved Jason!" "I think it's called a dog," corrected Skimpy. "I DON'T CARE WHAT IT'S CALLED, I JUST WANNA GET RID OF IT! AND SLAINE AND JASON TOO!" Ottio yelled and then he stumbled to his bookshelf and pulled out "EVILLER PLANS WHEN YOUR ORIGINAL EVIL PLAN FAILED" and flips to a page and grins as his eyes turn darker and as he grew devil horns. "Perfect..." he growled softly. "Simply perfect..." Chumbly and Skimpy were nervous, but Chumbly asked Ottio, "Uh...what's the plan?" "Oh, you'll see," said Ottio, closing the book and putting it away, "And Goodily won't be able to stop me this time because he's now becoming like us! It'll only be a matter of time before he'll be fully corrupt!" Goodily overhears and runs to his room that has a mirror in it and saw that his fur is becoming darker by the moment. "Oh no..." he whispered. "Oh, yes," said Ottio, appearing at the door. "I'm afraid it's true, Goodily. Soon you'll be one of us." "No! I don't wanna be like you! I'm a good rat!" "Not for much longer, pal," said Ottio. "And there's nothing you can do about it, so enjoy being good...while you still can." He laughs and leaves the room, leaving Goodily to sit on the floor in distress. To be continued...
