Personality: Lucien can be a calm and orderly young man when he feels comfortable. As long as his personal bubble isn't invaded he is the perfect picture of a behaved young man, he will be polite, calm, and able to think on his toes.

Sadly, his personal bubble is so large that if anyone happens go get in the general area of him, his entire calm mask is completely and utterly smashed. That being said, hes usually very finicky, jumpy, loud, twitchy, and prone to getting stressed out over every little thing everyone around him does and just obsessing over it. Torn between feeling the need to try to help them out (take control), or shove them away in a fit of rage. Even positive emotions can get a bit blown out of proportion with him, like he's not quite sure what to do with the feelings, and he overdoes it instead.

And while he understands he probably should calm down, but can't seem to keep that up for very long before hes set off again.

Likes:
● Romance books.
● Hand written words, such as letters, stories, journals, transcribing and the like. If he gets anything handwritten its common for him to hide it away somewhere in his room or in the covers of books.
● Being in control.
● Nice quite places...in the middle of nowhere. (he probably has aspirations to be a hermit one day)

History: Lucien was born to a well off family, though perhaps a bit quieter and more disinterested than most other noble families in Puro. While his family made appearances occasionally, more often than not they were rather closed in, staying at their home. They were a reserved, quiet family.

Lucien was pretty much left to his own devices as a child. He was able to do whatever he wished with little to no supervision. Though on the contrary to what one might think, instead of slacking off and playing around, he ended up working as hard as he could to get attention from his parents who tended to be distracted by other things. Nearly all of his childhood was spent chasing after this attention and praise to the point that he lost out on what most people did as a child. He spoke with very few people his age, or rather, people in general, in favor of reading.

And the moment he turned thirteen, Lucien took part in the tea ceremony, too impatient to wait any longer. He already felt he had the skills needed, and had gotten his parents to plan it ahead of time to take place on his birthday. And while he was right about his sufficient skills, he just wasn't ready for the end result.

The ceremony went perfectly despite how lively it was, what with his family and their close friends all invited. Lucien was able to ignore all of it for the time being. Every last step was seared into his memory; he didn't miss a beat in the ceremony. He chose a simple tea, something he was positive he wasn't going to mess up halfway through. He actually had no idea of what he wanted in an essence, just hoping it turned out alright. And it did.

That is, until he met his Essence. At first the older looking man seemed perfectly normal, which was a relief for Lucien. Sadly everything that came after the essence opened his mouth didn't help matters. So when his essence began to hit on him in front of his family and everyone else Lucien panicked, immediately calling his Essence back into the tea bag and rushing out of the room.

To say the least, it took a few days before Lucien actually summoned his essence again, driven by curiosity. Out of the eyes of everyone else, he wasn't as upset by the essence, even giving the man a name from a book he was fond of at the time.

Though other than that first meeting, for the first year or so, things weren't exactly perfect in Lucien's book. Despite the ceremony going fine, his family found fault in the essence he had gotten. The boisterous man caused problems in their eyes, so they frequently scolded Lucien when the essence was up to no good, persuading him to keep the essence in the bag if he did anything bad. These talks often times lasted for hours. Whenever said essence was out of the bag he'd try to convince Lucien to keep him out all the time, and at the same time his parents would hound him to keep the loud man in check. Eventually things gave way and the Essence took a chance to tell him how he felt.
"Look, I'm not some animal pet that you can force into and out of a cage at will. Just because you summon me every time doesn't mean I have to listen! What would you know about being lonely? Especially for a guy like me! I just want to have some fun. I have feelings too!"
The comment stuck with him, making him let Heather out more and more, even when his parents were around, though it didn't end as badly as he thought. Heather began to behave a bit more as time passed, especially when his parents or guests were around. Even if that didn't hold when they were alone, than the essence was back to his lively self. By the middle of the second year the two of them were often seen side by side doing things, even leaving the house frequently when the essence couldn't take the quiet building anymore, often times dragging Lucien out of the house quite forcefully.
"If you just read all day, your brain will rot! Come on, we're going outside! I think I will suffocate if we don't get some air."
"What?! If anything running around like an idiot would cause my brain to rot, not reading you know! Couldn't you wait a minute?"
Around the age of 15, though, Lucien's parents began pressuring him into joining the fight against Sia since he now had his essence. It was mostly a bid to get their house quieter, as it was the only way to get rid of the lively Heather who spent his days being loud, even bringing their usually quiet boy into matters. It took some arguing to get them to let him train before going. Well, the term 'training' was used lightly. Lucien wasn't capable of doing to much at once. Easily worn out and exhausted, he spent a lot of the time struggling to keep up.
"Say, Heather. Do essences ever die?"
"You shouldn't worry about that, silly. If you still have breath for talking, your not running fast enough."
"H-hey! Don't make me bring you in!"
"hohoho, you're so cute when you're mad~"
It took several years before they were able to say they were ready to join up. More in harmony than a few years back, they could tell what the other was going to do better, gauge reactions and communicate much better. And with Lucien's father past his limits with the two of them, they were finally set off to the actual fighting.
"Heh, I guess the fights begun, shorty"
" *** Don't call me that!"
"Wah wah how cute ~~"

● Has a thing with germs, usually on people. And its not uncommon for him to obsessively wipe his hands clean if he has to shake someones hand.
● Nor is it uncommon for him to very badly avoid situations that might end with any sort of touching.
● Blood also falls under the category, 'Lucien avoids at all costs' as well.
● Despite the whole touching phobia, it appears to not affect him as much around his essence or family. For the most part.
● While he isn't that good, he likes folding things out of paper occasionally. It seems the only thing hes really good at is a paper crane.

● He actually is perfectly fine with how his Essence acts...as long as no one is around. When people are around thats an entirely different matter, not that Heather listens. He's gotten mostly used to it.
● His essence serves as a minor irritation to his family whom considers him a bit to showy. They requested that Lucien try not to give him to much free reign, but since they are not around to much to notice, Lucien doesn't try anymore.
