Description After an all too long pause, the Spyder smirked, dropped its claw from Niv's chin and took a step back, its upper arms extended in a grand gesture. "I am Tryllcian! And, YOU, boy, are to call me Master."

I believe it is time I introduced the two main characters from my book, 'The Spyder in the Cracked Mirror'. Pictured above is the Spyder named Tryllcian, and beside him is the boy, Niv Spinal, who was swept into an dark, alien world against his will.

If you would like to read Niv's story for yourself, my husband and I are selling our books in a special 'bundle' sale. Both books (autographed) for a discounted price, and some original art thrown in for free! Please click below for more info:

Also, please stay tuned as I'm planning to begin a webcomic based on 'Spyder' soon (It will be a graphic novel version of my book).

Tryllcian, Niv Spinal and 'The Spyder in the Cracked Mirror are ยฉ Syrena Seale. This artwork may not be used without permission.

Why hadn't I faved this! O.O;
You must excuse me I have been wallowing in self pity and revoltingnesss... when I could have been enjoying Tryllcian's FACE! ...and other things... the man is all abs.... alll the waaaaaaay XD
I finished reading your book but I found it hard to review since all I could think was... YES! what next! NO how can I have run out of book!?! ... so I was letting it settle and ... yes... I enjoyed it...ALLOT.
I wrote a review but it is rather brief I popped it up on Amazon.
I have nothing but positive memories of your writing, lots of fun little sceanes all wandering over my inner eye, I think I would need to read it again to get a feel of you as a novelist... the story kept me so involved that I lost track of your words entirerly and was totally absorbed into the characters.
well done you.... now I will go and seethe at my own half finished book XD or go draw Tryllcian because...yum.

Ohh! You did an amazon review for me, and it's such a thoughtful one too! Thanks so much! You really
made my previously crummy morning so much better!

I would absolutely LOVE IT if you were to ever draw Tryllcian.

And, you're writing a book? Cool! What's it about?

Thanks again for that nice review. I'm very happy you enjoyed 'Spyder'. The second book
is being written now and should be published this year.

ah hah ^.^; yes I really enjoyed it so a review is the least I can do.

I've been doodling him all morning at work actually, He's got a great face, I love those kinds of noses.

a bluuuh I don't like to talk about it ToT I've been sort of writing a couple that I keep going back to, I need to stop editing them and try to actually complete something first, the main two, one is a fantasy childrens story about...uh shark princes ^.^;; and the other is about a pair of apprentice exorcists in London ^.^;; they both sound pretty stupid now I try to summarize them.

blimey you are on a roll! looking forward to it ^.^

SlayerSyrena In reply to IvoryFool [2013-01-18 16:23:57 +0000 UTC]

Ooo! Can I please see your Tryllcian doodles?

And I understand not wanting to talk about it. I do the same with my book. If someone asks what it's about I prefer to just direct them to the Amazon page to read the synopsis there, or to read the preview.

But, Shark princes! That actually sounds pretty wicked/unique.

yup will have a go at scanning them when I get hooome ^o^

oh booo yes, it's impossible to say what a book is about because everyone will take something different away from it ^.^;

Its actually rather flowery right now.. ppft! ah well, one day I will stop procrastinating...maybe XD

Oh, yes! The hour I've long been waiting for has finally come!
Yet another marvellous drawing from you, and one picturing the characters I've grown so fond of - what more could a reader possbily ask for?
I can't wait to see you turn the book into a webcomic!

Dewani90 [2012-12-19 00:27:25 +0000 UTC]

i have the feeling that this characters got bassed on the "Lost in Space" movie, being that mr. smith turned into something like this and the boy was with him the whole time till adulthood

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

SlayerSyrena In reply to Dewani90 [2012-12-19 00:54:40 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, but no ... it's not 'bassed' on anything but my weird, overactive imagination over about 20 years. Every story has it's influences (or 'tropes', if you will) and 'nothing is new under the sun', that is why we see almost always see similarities in stories, where none were intended.

In any case, if you ever have the chance to read my book I'd love to hear your input. Besides, if you did read it, you'd probably change your mind and realize my story stands on its own two feet, (or eight?) in regards to originality. (Also, we can do this, 'your stuff is based on', argument to death. Star Wars is based on Star Trek. Elfquest is based on Lord of the Rings. Twilight is based on Dracula. My stuff is based on other stuff. Your stuff is based on other stuff. Blah blah, etc etc ...)

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dewani90 In reply to SlayerSyrena [2012-12-19 01:19:18 +0000 UTC]

i should have said "their appearances" but not that much, i'd love to read your book but i'm a lil short on green and i kinda want to use it to fix the family house, my dad and i are kinda the working material of the house so... you get the general idea, anyway, hope you sell a lot of books for this one to be an even merrier xmas... hope to see more of your art soon also

I have a thing for monsters...
._.
A comic with characters from the book, why that's rather exciting.

SlayerSyrena In reply to yzkethrag [2012-12-19 00:40:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, Tryllcian is a very vain creature, so he believes the same about himself.

I hope you read the comic when I begin publishing it online!

This is EXACTLY how I imagined Tryllcian!! xD I love him. He's such a well balanced character. Everyone is but Tryllcian is definatly my favorite because he's just so colorful in his personality....at least when he's happy and feel like striking a pose xD I swear every time he lifts his arms up to ...er... I dunno appear more grand I just imagine him Flexing his muscles Mr. Galaxy style.

By the all mighty!! I never pictured Tryllcian like that lol No wonder Niv was scared out of wits. Thanks for sharing, girl! It puts more perspective into visualizing what events happened, ugh all I can think about is Nivs home planet before he met Tryllcian. Flight would take over my instinct lol Beautiful (yet chilling) work, cheers!
