This outlander would like to repeat what everyone else here has said: amazing! I've never seen a texture quite like that in digital paintings.

Oh gosh, he looks amazing! (I remember him and his fashion-show from the game, too!)
I absolutely love the limited colour palette, and those nice, chalky brushstrokes! You are making simply breath-taking progress with your digital painting; it's very exciting to see each of your class submissions, and the fact that you are moving on to personal things rather than just schoolwork also says a lot (at least to me, if an artists is using their newly acquired skills to draw for themselves, this means that they are really mastering the process and enjoying themselves ^^ )

Unless they paid for it and own the rights and asked you not to post it, I don't see why you couldn't?

It's not easy trying something new. It certainly isn't easy putting that out for other to see. So I am proud of you for that! Β You are very gifted so please please please keep expanding your style and works. We need more pretty things!

This looks really great. I love the decreasing amount of detail as you draw back from the face; it looks more simple, but is plenty defined to know what you're looking at, and giving most attention to the facial features. Good luck learning to paint, seems like you're definitely on the right track, ha ha.

Thank you, Ros! Your comment is so encouraging!
I use Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 and I just recently 'cleaned house' of my Photoshop brushes (I used to have 200+, it was very confusing). Now the only brushes I use are the brushes that initially came with Photoshop along with my Instructor, Jeremy Fenske's brushes (the same ones he uses for his Elder Scrolls concept work. He was kind enough to share them with his students).

You're making me blush! I love your art too, especially your more complex illustrations (with two or more figures and those lovely backgrounds).
How long did this one take, hrmmm ... I got my coffee and worked on it for, I believe, about 3-4 hours. That's just a guesstimate though (as I lose track of time when working on art).
