Davin pondered on this unfortunate twist to what he had imagined would be a really memorable night. He knew what he should do. He knew what he would do. Man, he thought, she's lucky I'm a decent dude at heart. The one thing he was unsure of was the girl's name. Was it Anne, Anna or maybe even Andi? They had met a couple of hours ago at the hotel's pool during a late night swim. She had eventually invited him to her room for a nightcap. He could still remember that moment of gleeful anticipation when she handed him a key. That happy memory faded as his eyes cast a momentary dirty look at the empty wine bottle and glass laying on the carpet. The shapely form of the apparently drunken into a coma beauty before him, still clad in her bikini, reminded him of that fairy tale. He knew that there would no fairy tale ending for him if he tried to realize his own version. He glanced at the LED clock on the side table. It confirmed what he already knew. He had taken two hours to get ready after he had returned to his room. I have to watch how much time I spend in the shower, he reminded himself as he slouched into a chair in the corner and waited for her to recover.
