even though it basicly turned out how i planned, i still don't know how i feel about the finished product

Very nice work. I like the colors in the background, how they contrast with the foreground and how the 'light' of them spills forward. A real sense of isolation.

i wasn't too sure about it. i thought the light ended too abruptly at the gate. i wanted show the separation between the two 'planes', but i was worried that it was too much contrast. to me it looks like the light at the gate is too solid. maybe i should have let the light gradually seep into darkness...?
