However, Lupica was not always like this, there was once a time when she nearly brought about peace to the world. . .when she was Katerina's adopted daughter. Katerina found Lupica the day she was born. Her mother was the daughter of a noble, kidnapped by the Goblin King and forced to be his bride. When Katerina arrived, she killed the king and his men and found the princess in labor with his child. She died giving birth to Lupica. Rather than abandon the girl, Katerina decided to raise the baby as her own, hoping it would bring a new future. If she could teach this goblin princess to be a warrior of honor to fight for good, then maybe this could increase the chances of stopping the Monster King and his forces from taking over. Maya was proud to call Lupica "sister" they were raised together, they played together, they trained together. But as is expected, disaster struck, for Lupica soon learned just how cruel humans can be to creatures like her. She was on patrol with a scouting party. Only it turns out the group was made of a whole colony of people who hate non-humans. All of their families had been torn apart by non-human creatures and they resented Katerina for raising one. So. . .as soon as they had reached their first camping spot and Lupica lowered her guard. . .they made their move. They attacked, disarmed her and went to work. they beat her, tortured her, stripped her naked, raped her, violated her, taunted her, mocked her and claimed it was all because she. . .was an abomination. That's when he showed up. the Monster King saved her and nursed her back to health and told her how he was not the enemy, that he wasn't trying to destroy the world, he was trying to save it from those who are the true threat. That humanity is the only thing threatening the Earth's survival. And Lupica believed him. . .especially after she'd learned that the woman who raised her. . .had killed her father. When she returned to Katerina's base. . .Maya was the first one to greet her and she could tell something was wrong. There was something different in Lupica's eyes almost as if. . .she'd lost her soul. Her fears became clear when Katerina came to greet Lupica. . .and got a sword through her gut. Not a fatal wound, but enough for Lupica to get her message across before she announced her renouncement of her adopted family and her new loyalty to the Monster King. she then left the wall and has since then done all she can to help Cuvier overthrow humanity.
