Karris and her family fought a lot when she was younger. She got so angry that when she was 17 one night that she ran away from home in a blind rage. She ended up going deep into the Mewni forest and got lost, not being able to find her way back. She found an abandoned house in the forest and stayed there for 4 years, stealing food from townhouses and thinking about going back home. One night when picking up food she saw toffee walking by her house, the first time she saw anyone walk by in a long time. She continued to pester him until toffee let her stay. At first, it was because of her wings but he began to like her when he started training her. To this day she still is unaware of if her parents are even still alive.
