Sorry for icky messy sketches, but I don't have a lot of energy right now and I wanted to draw something.Like I've said before, I don't really ship anything in RaC. But I def think Tal would have a crush on Sasha. Who wouldn't have a crush on Sasha. And I also don't support the comic's interpretation of Sasha's character. She never once did any fighting in the games, so don't really picture that she can fight. Not all the RaC girls need to be butt-kicking badasses to be strong characters. Cazars are known to be good strategists and politicians, so I don't think fighting is really in their blood. I prefer to think of her as a pacifist who may just be a little sheltered when it comes to actually working out in the field rather than the safety of the ship.
Just one of the many reasons I don't consider the comic to be canon.

I thought it was kind of weird in Up Your Arsenal that everyone on the Starship Phoenix just hid under the desk when Nefarious sent some troops over rather than fighting. I'm like doesn't anyone here have a gun? Sasha had 2 in the comics, the Combuster and some other one and I'm like well why didn't she have one in Up Your Arsenal? Politicians ESPECIALLY need guns! So she has weapons in the comics and flies a fighter but not in the 2 games she's appeared in Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked. That's weird, I mean one should always come prepared.
While the comics were a bit lackluster, in terms of story, characters, dialogue and other things, they were nice to have anyway. I wish they showed more characters like Angela Cross, and Max Apogee as well as Skid, Helga, Skrunch etc. So yeah as lackluster as they were the comics are indeed canon and hopefully the next ones will be better if they make more.
P.S. Artemis Zogg is a DOUCHE and how'd Qwark become president just by announcing himself, instead of Zogg? Are politics really that easy in the Polaris Galaxy? Just announce yourself instead of the actual guy and you get the job? Also what about Cyrus? (Qwarks ex move director) I mean he talked him into sabotaging Zogg's election so what about his agenda? The comic doesn't go any further than that, and I'm like "WHY?". It's an important part of the story that started this mess.

I don't consider the comics canon at all, actually. Unless they're specifically referred to in a game, they'll always be like a side story to me. One may or may not consider it canon. It's up to them. I don't like how it's written and I don't like the direction it took with most (all, actually, the only exclusion to that being Talwyn) of the characters. I read it several months ago, so I don't remember the exact story, but I don't remember the plot being all that interesting or memorable. It wasted a lot of potential when it brought back Sasha. While I'm really happy that she and Tal had a conversation together (which passed the Bechdel test, if I recall), I feel like they could have done way more with Sasha coming back. Plus the fact that Talwyn had to introduce Ratchet to Sasha and they acted like they didn't know each other at first?? What was up with that????
Qwark was also very poorly written and the fact that he was actually boring made me very sad. And yeah, I agree that they should've included Skid and Skrunch and all those old Q-Force buddies. Though to actually include Max and Angela would've been a nightmare, because it would've been horribly written and waste a huge reveal that is better left for a game to include. Anyway, my point is, I don't like the comic's interpretation of the characters and would rather consider it non-canon. At least, it certainly will not have happened when I make my own fancomic. I have my own ideas for how Sasha should be reintroduced to the story. And I'd rather just pretend all the nonsense plot devices it introduced never happened because I can't remember them anyway and I ain't reading it again.

Now that you mention it shouldn't Ratchet have said something to Talwyn about Sasha? Like "Hey! Sasha what office are elected for now?" Or "Tal, Sasha and I go way back, we know each other already."
Yeah I know not really accurate dialogue but it would've made sense, rather than just Talwyn saying at the end, "You know each other huh?"
Personally they could've had Sasha do some more fighting along with having some more screen/page time. The last panel you see of her is her telling Qwark to stay at the station.

I totally agree with your headcanon on Sasha: she's a politician and a starship captain, she doesn't really have any need for fighting. Plus her dad seemed pretty protective of her and I highly doubt he'd ever let her in a situation that could put her in harms way. He just strikes me as the kind of father who treats his daughter like a princess, idk. And yep everyone should have a crush on Sasha. I know I do lol
Anyway, Sasha is super cute in your style; I love how you did her eyes!

Yeah! A lot of evidence points to her not being the very violent type or experienced in fighting of any sort. Plus it just adds some variety to the RaC girls, since most of them are fighters.

She probably does know some self defense techniques in canon. I just thought it'd be cute if she needed to be protected if she were ever out in the battle field. Maybe she'd want to learn how to shoot a gun or fight from Ratchet or Talwyn. I just like the potential of cuteness in the headcanon. >w<
