Deer come in many different species. I think this new group are mule deer. Where as Plucky is a White tail deer. And I know the artist mentioned Tommy’s species, but I don’t remember it at the moment.

Thanks for saying that, cuz I've been using way less references now than I was before.  In fact, I've been starting to worry that I'm getting so far away from correct deer anatomy that I'm drawing a completely different animal altogether. XD

If nothing else, it feels like you're a lot more comfortable with how deer work than you were before. The poses seem more natural and fluid.
