Hmm... actually, isn't it a bit strange that the dead human from earlier was full white - skin and hair alike, and the turkey's featherless parts aren't white? also the wolf's paw pads in first few pages also weren't lacking pigment... maybe the bad was really somehow brought on by humans and somehow altered their appearance to greater extent, skin included, and for animals it's still deadly and working, but less compatible with certain species and only altering fur/feather/scale colour? If someone was to shave an animal that has the bad, would its bad appearance be limited to eyes?

Also is it just me or did the possum's eyes narrow? Like in anger or determination or something? Obviously it can't emote but like the turkey looks a lot more vacant in this chase for some reason
EDIT: Okay wait nevermind, I thought in the previous page that they were upwind of the possum, I didn't realize it was a turkey and that the possum was sneaking up on them. Wow now Tommy's startle reaction makes a lot more sense lol

Bad move, Tommy. Possums have a top speed of 4-7 mph so they could have outrun it, but a turkey can run 25 mph and FLY at 55 mph. Plucky might want to take out that bird, stat.
