This at first look, looked like a very surreal painting instead of a sculpture. back ground and face all seem to fit into the same visual world etc.
He/she looks so serene.

The paints I use most often are called Genesis heat set oils. They handle just like oil paint, but cure in minutes
The color range isnt as rich so, I also use pastels and ink when needed too.

You did a good job with the chipped paint.
And I remember being this serene :/
By the way, this is my favourite of yours.

Back when I sculpted her I made whatever I wanted for pleasure. I didnt know my work could sell for so much or that that would become a big pressure to perform.
Recently alot of nitty things have been hovering.Thoughts I realy dont want, peoples rubbish, stress, burdens. The usual.
I always end up sculpting what Im experianceing emotionaly. It helps me move on.
Im alright ,thanks

I think this is in my top five faves of your work. And the small strawberries n_n so adorable. Did you end up selling this one or stumble across it and post the picture?

I thought this entire photo was a painting at first, and even now that I've looked more into it, the sculpture still looks like an oil painting.
Breathtaking and fascinating, this is amazing.

At first I thought this was an oil painting till I looked at it's location in "sculpture". The setting you created with this piece gives it a painterly effect.. if that's the correct word to use.
As usual.. breathtaking work, and a great photograph.

TWO Mastiffs??? OMG, where does she sleep?
Sometimes I'm nothing but a sourpuss, but other times we have pillow fights and water fights. .. hmmn, after reading that, I kind of sound bipolar.
I don't get to see the grandkids that often. Hopefully, I'll get up to Georgia to see them next month. I've got two little grandkids. My oldest son and his wife are the current providers of my grandkids, lol. I've still got three almost adult kids at home---I'll not give them any ideas anytime soon! Okay, well TWO are supposed to be 'adults' already---then there's the picky sixteen year old who is fascinated by all things Goth and Steampunk.
I heard that orchids are tricky to take care of. I don't know the first thing about them other than that I'd kill them. So, this is me saving a life: I won't ever buy one. You have my word.
I have killed Pothos plants, cacti and those Venus Fly traps---I'll never buy those again either. I once set a Pothos houseplant 'free' outside and it strangled an Oak tree. (*sigh.)
Hope you're not getting too tired of hangin' in there.
Peace Always,
the DragonLady

We are a bunch indeed. My dog is almost fourteen years old. She's up there---still neurotic, but up there age-wise. My oven repair money is going for her vet bill.
Kids are great---but sometimes they're not. They can drive you just as insane as the next guy. They have their moments, lol. Still, I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to have them in my life.
I'm sorry, but part of your recent post to me was inaccessible to me for some reason. The little message box cut off part of it. I could see that you had written more, but I couldn't read it, so I apologize if I'm missing something. It starts at the third paragraph and there's no way for me to scroll down or enlarge the box to read it. Hmmn. . . now it's going to drive me nuts.
Peace Always,
the DragonLady
