Description It is not the way my hands
find themselves holding my own arms,
nor the voices in my mind
urging me to push forward into sprinting;

It is in the way that
crepusculum graces my eyelids
spearing in delightful fire
through the anxiety
that mocks and haunts.

It is in the granular momentum
that I beg the night to wait
just this much longer,
before the wilting melody of light
heralds silence and pitch.

Angular movements bring us
that much further 'cross the sky,
and I yearn to linger, hands clasping
at the rays like they’re something tangible,
something I can catch
and keep for my own.

Yet I fall short, and fall hard,
able only to wish the memory
burned as brightly,
sighed as deeply
as the sky in your opalescent departure.

Upon arrival, I am captured
by measures desperate,
to bound for break of dawn;

all doubt folds away
as black fades sunward,
and it feels as if i am
blossoming with the sun
as I am filled
by light.

Although I found it strange at the beginning.. the thought of someone holding their arms across themselves suddenly sprinting down the road.. I can picture the morning dawn and the rays that those hands are trying to catch.

I enjoyed the uplifting ending. This makes my brain feel brighter.

I really like the turn your writing is taking. It's optimistic and happy and lovely and beautiful and wonderful and all the other happy adjectives you can think of.
