Description -Simulacrum-

Regen
Regen fiel auf seine Haut
gefror und ward zu Staub
Licht
besann sich
kaum
Hast du mich gesehen
in dem Traum?

beautiful piece of art. i really like your beautiful color palette. shading an lightning look great. and the cracked texture and the snow completes the sense of mystery and cold. my only concern is the same apples-ishness, it would be better if you can make the hands more visible especially the right hand.  it looks little bit slipshod comparing the foot other than that as i said before your drawing is beautiful. keep it up

apples-ishness [2015-06-29 10:07:47 +0000 UTC]

A painting shrouded in mystery! It seems like I'm seeing the character through foggy glass and all the while wondering who he is and what he is doing. The textures add to the mystery as it is unclear exactly what they are or why they appear (it seems) as part of the character's shadow.

One suggestion I can make is to make the hands a little more visible, like you did with the feet. As it is we don't know where the hands and arms are and if they are there at all - which do add to the mysteriousness. But I feel like at least one of the hands could be slightly more visible, perhaps revealing that he is holding something of importance - maybe a doll or a knife. It could add more depth to the mystery!

Great work at a thrilling atmosphere!

This is epic love the blue colours - gives great atmosphere, and that there are no strong lines anywhere, yet you made a clear picture. The pic is somewhat "mystical", like with all the black shadows and even sadness.. Overall, really cool and makes me wonder a lot. I like these kinda pics that make you think about the possible story behind - food for imagination

What i find rather interesting and a little eerie about this is that when i stand a little away from my screen and take off my glasses this frost weary traveller looks to be a mermaid, i don't know if that was intentional or not but i absolutely love it. This is a beautiful scene in itself and although subtle seems as though this person is in deep thought, i hope about nothing too serious!

obviously gave thought to it. Thank you

Now this is a fine peace of work! I get a lost soul feeling from this and the mood is boosted by the colors. I get a feel as if I am looking into a window that has been frozen over.
I must say that the only gripe I have is the toes on the feet, they look a little too cartoon-y. I suggest you look at some references to fix this problem. The shading could have been a bit more blended but that just nit picking.

Besides the toes, I don't have much to complain. I hope that this comment with help you reach your maximum potential as an artist. Keep up the great work!
